Title: Riddle
Post by: Xev on October 23, 2014, 08:42:03 PM
If I delete my low level toon who is in a purchased FF slot and reroll him as an Automaton and level the Automaton to 40 - can I then delete the Automaton and reroll a FF?

Personally I'd be afraid to  risk it.

If I can delete a FF and make an AT... why couldn't I delete the AT and make a FF?

*shrug*

I'm not going to find out anytime soon. I just gave the guy in this slot a shiny new Kinetic permanent backup.. Forgot about that until now.

I'm trying to come up with a compromise with Concentration but I still might end up leveling up an Automaton to get AotM.

Unless it's been changed, you can retcon a toon into an at and get them that way.

I'd not take any chances.

There's zero reason to level an automaton. Take a level 40 character, FF or AT doesn't matter, and retrain them from the character select screen into an automaton AT. Even better, the first time you do this on any given character it's free. If you want to change them back it'll cost 300 zen, but you won't lose access to the powers. Once they're unlocked, they're unlocked for good.

It costs a retrain token to retrain. The screen before retraining says something about getting a freebie under certain circumstances but I've yet to actually get a freebie.

Huh. I thought you got one free per character. Maybe that's only for subscribers, then.

Pretty sure those retrains do cost.

Must be for subscribers, then. Cause I've never bought one, but I had one available to use when the automaton came out.
