I broadcasted the message to all chat channels I could. I'm concerned. Not enough optimism/fighting spirit. Too much fear and pessimism.
Please keep in mind that everyone is still reeling from the sack of bricks that was dropped on us. Fear and pessimism are natural and expected. It's extremely important to not let it dampen your own spirits and to be respectful of people still coming to terms with the news. It might take them a little more time, but trust me, they will come around.
Everyone wants to be on the winning team, to be the ones to have known all along how things were going to turn out. Right now, a lot of people understandably think that the game shutting down forever in November is a good bet. After all, that's what happens whenever a company announces that it's shuttering the servers, right?
Wrong. What they haven't accounted for is that we are heroes. This is what we do. Once everyone else sees how focused, determined, and clever we are, how mighty we can be, they
will come around.
