I think the best animated Marvel release I've seen in a while would have to be Hulk vs. Two short features, each with different stylistic approaches.
What really caught my attention in Hulk vs. Wolverine was Wolverine actually plunging his claws into the Hulk (you know, actually using his claws) and drawing blood. Not quite the same slash, slash, slash and the only thing hurt is someone's shirt that all the cartoons on TV give us. (And I thought Deadpool's dialogue was hilarious.)
On the live-action side, I have high hopes for the upcoming Thor release. I was really only lukewarm on the idea until I saw Kenneth Branagh was directing. The gods of Asgard have always struck me as being very classically Shakespearean in nature, so I think Branagh might be a very good fit. We'll just have to see if that pans out.
