Aka Chicago Comic Entertainment Expo...

Just currious if anyone else went/is going to this this weekend? Some awesome big names attending this year(Stan Lee, just to name a big one!), and lots of fun stuff going on.

By the way for anyone from here who is going, I'm going to be at the Westwood College booth my campus setup tomorrow morning for a little bit around 10:30 until 12ish (or until suppies run out, whichever comes first) trying to sell a few copies of my book, The Fall of Var; mention "City of Heroes" to the guy wearing a Ghostbusters jersey that says "Keymaster" (me of course...) and get a copy for freebies! (Normally $8, Limit one free copy per person, while supplies last, miscellaneous legal babble...)

I only have 18 copies, so first come first serve...

Still recovering a little today, but it was a fun weekend... Busy too...

While I may have only had a single classmate buy a copy of my book, I did have a few people stop at my school's booth to try out the game I've been working on which was cool. One of the school reps seemed to think that more people were stopping at the booth to try my game than there were before I had set it up, so maybe I'm on the right track for it... But that's a topic for another thread...

Oh, and Stan Lee shaved off his mustache!!! :o

Sorry I didn't head down there. I have been working on fixing up my new/old house - huge farmhouse built in 1871!

Many long days but it is doing something I love so its all good.

Microcosm

Really wanted to go but had to visit family this week. Someday I'll meet Stan...

SerialBeggar

Doesn't Stan appear at every convention?  He's like that overly attached girlfriend.
Teams are the number one killers of Soloists.

First time he's been to Chicago for one in a while(that I can recall anyway), so no he's not at every convention...

Although I think my favorite part of the convention was when I was at the "Crow reunion" booth area on Friday, while I was waiting for my picture with Ernie Hudson to be printed out(again, the printer screwed up the first time...), Tony Todd was loudly complaining about the hugely disproportionate line for Ernie compared to him and Michael Massee. Was hilarious how he was shouting into the microphone to get Ernie's attention!

"I can't believe that I can't compete with your line? Ernie... Ernie.... Ernie...! Mother ******, Ernie!"

I can't remember how many more times he repeated Ernie's name, but when Ernie finally heard what Tony was doing he was snapping his head around like "what the heck is going on?!" And paused taking autographs to come over to Tony for a minute. It was gold.

The other part that I liked about meeting Ernie Hudson was despite running late due to traffic, when he finally showed up he actually stopped and said hello to everyone who was in line waiting for him on the way to his table. That right there was very high class, and earned a huge amount of respect from me for the man.
