And don't worry too much about season 5...

Speaking of "bolted on..."
I wouldn't use the word "replace," but there's no word for "take over for you and make everything better almost immediately," so we just say "replace."

Mistress Urd

with all of this "fishy" talk and PVP talk, I'll catch up on this when we hopefully get good news.

Idk, somehow Babylon 5 just slipped off my radar. I'll most likely start watching it when I get back to working next week.

Season 1 is not good the first time around, but watch it and pay attention . Season 2-4 are the best . Season 5 is ok but the last episode will make you cry... Then go back to season 1 and realize how brilliant it truly was

OH and Irish Girl "DO NOT GO TO ZA'HA DUNE :)"

You wil understand that by mid season 2 :)

Yeah, Season 1 was a bit rough. But I did like the episodes that focused on xenophobia, and on how members of the alliance showed how their primary religious ceremonies.  Earth's was definitely....unique.

THe only reason I say season 1 isnt that great is because it going to be her first time watching it. When she rewatches it after she finishes the series and movies(Do not watch "IN THE BEGINNING" till your done with season 3 at least.) season 1 will be appreciated a whole lot better.

My favorite season one was the one that introduced Mr Morden of course :).

Sol Eternal

And all of the sudden, i find myself wondering what DJ Sushi (of former paragonradio) is up to. He always played that as an intro to his shows.

You see my vision of PvP is completely different.

I for one expected AE to be PvP related. You created the scenario and then you fight. The scenario would be player set based on Mission type.

Speaking of things that remind me of other things:

Did anyone here ever engage in any of the Gladiator fights? I always wanted to (had a ton of them from my Badge Hunting), but it never seemed like anyone was ever queued up for a match.  :(

Similar experiences on this end! Tell ya what, we get it back, I'd be happy to give a run or two after I get a fraction of my badges back :)

I'm already planning on having a different badger, and far fewer characters - having spent 4 and half years learning what worked for me and what did not.  I'm looking at just 1 character each for Goldside, Blueside and Redside; I think that will be it.  I'm pretty much through with my altaholic phase.  These days, when I play around in Mids, I just keep thinking "Nah, tried that, didn't like it.  That, either.  Or that."  At this point, the list of what actually did work for me is pretty darn small, having tried every class, and quite a few powerset combos.  And the sheer work necessary to grind all of them up to the point where I could make that determination was considerable.  I don't plan on doing that again.  At this point, I know what I like, and plan on focusing on that - it will greatly simplify matters.  Many of them were fun - for a while, but after a certain point, you have to ask yourself "Do I really want to take the time and effort to get this character to L50 and then completely trick them out?  Do I love playing them that much?"

Hopefully you'll get a team that makes you feel confident enough in a decent launch window to be able to have some fun yourself :)

My main badger was an elec/elec Brute - and she did pretty good. I'm questioning if I want to use her again, or use my Humanform PB. They don't exactly flashback as well, but for everything you can do after about level 38...

Barring extreme sadism on NCSoft's part, it seems pretty clear both parties have invested enough effort to indicate everybody's interested in moving forward. I have a feeling something awful is going to happen followed by something less awful and then maybe things will work out in a vaguely dissatisfying manner but I have no idea how NCSoft thinks. They were pulling in 10 mil a year on a game that really wasn't in a volatile place and was about to launch a ton of new content. And then just a month or two before it was time to cash in on a whole lot of effort that had been going on for a long time the shutdown.

I'd say some sort of panic was going on but given all the cultural stuff I never knew about South Korean business practices, as illustrated in the "unmasked" thread, I just don't even pretend to know  anymore. Did one of the Paragon devs or a fan e-mail somebody without an introduction or something? Was there some offense real or imagined? Did somebody think it would help Champions to gut COH? That seems unlikely if they're willing to go as far as they have so far. I think that's why I'm in a good mood about gaming for the first time since 2012. Maybe this was just a bizarre arbitrary decision that somebody finally realized was a bad one? Even if nothing comes of it, I like this ending better than the old one.
