Here is what I would like to hear from today's announcement:
Who the team is
What they are negotiating for: Does it include account data etc
A guesstimate on when a deal will either be finalized; either way.

This seems like a good amount of information. I'd be interested in the price, but I figure that's a post-deal detail. I would also like some kind of estimate for when (assuming the deal is successful) they would expect to be able to get something playable, but they probably can't even guess at that until they've had a chance to see what's in the box, so to speak.

I may have missed it, but where exactly is this announcement supposed to take place? Facebook?

Whatever announcement, even a fail, I am grateful for all the time people put into this, and will continue to believe we will have learned from this effort and next time will be a success.  Now that I've checked the boards after obligatory Breakfast With The Family, it's time to work.  And I won't be checking for a couple of hours...and I'll use my biofeedback "game" Wild Divine to keep me sane...

I don't know what time zone the Mysterions are in, but its only 9:30 am on the west coast and these things tend to pop around the noon hour, so I'm trying to not hit refresh too many times in the next couple of hours.

Well, if I find out they couldn't pull through with anything I will probably just slow down on gaming because many of the things out there just aren't that great including all the current superhero games. Did COH spoil me? Maybe? The current game Wildstar is just terrible and i'm unsubbing soon. This will be the second time that NcSoft has rejected a buy offer and I am not so optimistic a third attempt will happen.

On the one hand, peeps are likely to be off work, so they MIGHT get the message right away.

I think you're right there about the rejected buy offers. I am also hoping that NCSoft will be considering that as well and that this may be their last opportunity to get ANYthing for the IP. And that SOMEthing is better than NOthing.

There are loads of reasons to reject an offer and yet still want to sell a business. The number of rejected offers has little to do with the desire to sell and is more a factor of expectation.
