My hope: Everyone maintains realistic expectations regarding an update that was vaguely given as "August at the soonest".

My expectation: 31 August 2014 has a lot of "when's this update coming?" posts.

Reading the way you guys played, I sometimes think I played the game wrong. :)

I realize I didn't because I played it the way that worked best for me, but some of the things you all did are mind blowingly full of win!

The only way to have played the game wrong, was to not have any fun.

I seem recall me and some SG mates messing around with me hitting mobs with 6 slot kb power push and them throwing fireballs at them as I launched em lol
Heat seeking missiles if you will.
Also the frustration of trying to find the last glowie on a map......not fun.
Hitting inertial reduction in Atlas and telling all the low lvls to hit space bar....they were all like wtf hah.
Explaining that seeds of confusion was a drop in xp but not actual xp gain ie it was quicker,forget the maths but some ppl just weren't having it.
I think every 50 of mine took recall friend too,it just speeded up everything so much,specially if u mentored down.
But the single best thing about was sidekicking,whoever came up with that should get a knighthood.
Absolutely game changing,meant never having to worry about out lvling friends,etc unless they were doing the content religiously which pretty much meant solo anyway lol.

Just hope we get a big announcement next weekend,I would seriously blow £500 in the game store just to celebrate lol

NB obviously it isn't going to be up n running on the day ;)

Although perhaps the task they were set was to get the game running again....hmmm.

We don't know.  Iron wolf told us that the team hoped to have the deal sealed this month.  Doesn't necessarily mean it'll be 100% on scheduel.

If COH (with or without COH 2) comes back up, I will even play Aion again in celebration!  I haven't fired up a single NCSoft game since the shutdown.  I had bought Guild Wars 2 and was playing the early start, until a week later when NC dropped the COH closure notice bomb.  I haven't logged on there since.

I can't stop people from reacting to a process that only NCSoft controls for the most part. The team was shooting for August but again it isn't them who gets to call the shots. If it was within the teams power - we would have the game now. I got to talk to them during the Massively article furor and they want the game back as much as we do. Panic stations - the only thing missing was a robot going - Danger Will Robinson!
