Burnt Toast

My fav STFs were me and my other 2 Illusion/Rad troller friends. Did an all Illusion troller STF once..that was just like taking candy from a baby though.

Once I was recruiting for an STF and grabbed a bunch of people who were either in-zone or responded on the global channel. We got up to 7, and a couple people on the team were starting to get worried that we didn't have a tanker on the team, for the Patrons and Recluse.

I glanced at the team roster, checked info on a couple people, and saw that we had not one, but two Illusion controllers on the team.

Teammate: "I can switch to a tank I guess, was really hoping to get the badge on this toon though."
Me: "Don't worry about it. We'll be fine."
/invites another blaster

We were fine. ;)

I to will take a little time getting back into the swing of things and relearning stuff from and about the game.

But I reckon once I step in everything will come back to me in good time.

Str8Away Level 50 Fire Control/Radiation Emission Controller
Str8Killer Level 50 Spines/Invulnerability Scrapper
Str8Ninja Level 50 Energy Melee/Ninjitsu Stalker

I think the hardest thing I may need to relearn is the keybinds that I used for my MMs. Once I get the hold of that and power placement, it'll be smooth sailing.

Well, curiosity did kill... apparently all the cats.

... and "satisfaction" brings them back - here's hoping we all get SATISFIED!  ;)
... Atlanteans fled to far corners of the planet to preserve themselves and as much of their science and technology as time would allow...  Atlantean DNA remains among the inhabitants of Earth... and when the strains randomly cross-multiply... a re-combined Atlantean can occasionally result - stronger, faster, more evolved with abilities far beyond those of normal humanity... A being like... Atzlanticus!

Anyone having high hopes for some new info this week :) Acc. to Ironwolf, the team was ready to present something reasonable soon.

I feel a tingeling in my stomach so maybe something is happening.

I hope so! Trying to get myself busy in my free time, but I can't stop thinking about CoH.

You know, there are some people that if they found a button that if pressed would destroy the planet they would have to press it just to watch the world burn.
This gives me flash backs to Ren & Stimpy

Heck, I've tanked a TF with a TA/Ice defender before.  Did a couple TFs as tank on my Time/Ice. Both worked like a charm.

I once tanked recluse with a fire blaster. the tank we had quit in a huff saying recluse was "impossible to tank". I did it

Tanks?!  Who needs a tank?! RAWR!  My greatest team achievements were tanking a Kahn TF and then Battle Maiden on the Apex TF.  Although Battle Maiden was more of like "Hit her enough to kinda follow me around"  and I still died a few times on that one.

QuoteI know my energy blaster tanked Ghost Widow on at least one or two occasions after the tank got held and died.  Ranged defense set bonuses + inspirations = Winning.

Yes, yes it does.  Ghost Widow was no chump in DPS either.  I tried to solo her once on what I want to say was a SSA(was she in one?), but it might of been the Cimeroran(sp) arc I remember it being on the a Cimerora map.  Either way it I ended up using a Shivan.  So alas, not solo:(.  Still took a decent amount of tries too, if I recalled I even ended up using a Shivan and a Heavy the last try.

I've been lurking these forums and specifically this thread for awhile now.  I check it multiple times a day to see if any updates or posted.  I just wish I could go back in time when I was in fourth and fifth grade.  No responsibilities and just playing CoH all day :'|.  I sucked so much at MMORPG's back then that I could never max a character and by the time I made my fifth character, I was just asking people (fire tanks) to power level me :p.

Good times...goooooooooooooooooooooooooood times.

You would have loved my defender Bowling Bot. A kin/nrg clockwork built out of parts of a bowling alley, his progamming went defunct and he couldn't stop running in to things. He had repel maxed for end and knockback, and I had to bowl over at least one juicy group per mission. Most of the time it went something like this:

Tank: Gonna herd.
Bowling Bot must resist urge...
-Tank carefully herds groups.-
Bowling Bot must resist urge...
Tank: Okay, hit em.
-Bot siphon speeds, crashes in to the group. Hilarity ensues.-
Dead group member: Dude, what do you have to say for yourself?
-Bot rescuscitates him-
Bowling Bot: (F10) STRIKE!

On some maps, I almost felt like a controller. *bounce - wait - bounce -wait - bounce -wait*

*laughing*

Godsdamnit, I'm trying not to wake up my husband and roommate, but I just laughed aloud at that.

I'm the same way every time I log on.  I'm a 51-year-old man who feels like a 7-year-old with about a week before Christmas.
If I was a Jedi, there's a 100% chance that I'd use The Force inappropriately.

You know I'm surprised there hasn't been more talk about the new Who premiere around here.  It was very cool

"These are attack eyebrows!"

And now I have to queue up the First Doctor's theme and one of Teikiatsu's posts....

The mobile game 'Doctor Who: Legacy' introduced the Twelfth Doctor on Sunday (to celebrate the new series arrival). His special move? "Attack Eyebrows".

LOL, awesome. That reminds me of a group of a Kin SG I saw on Freedom, "Pinball Wizards".

Another week closer to "opening day." Iron is there a word from you that might inspire us as we wait?

I had the most vivid and weirdly specific dream the other night... I dreamed that the mystery team announced that a deal would be finalized on September 9th, and that CoX would be available to play on September 19th. It seemed so genuine... and when I woke up, the return to reality left me wistfully melancholy. At least I could tell myself it was only a matter of time and patience. The yearning to play again is almost physical.

You have expressed the hope in the heart of all, I dare say.
It takes a village to raise a child. And it takes a villain to explain the value of lunch money.

-Random CoHer: "Why does the sky turn green during Rikti invasions?"
-Me:"Rikti Monkey farts"

Ironwolf

I don't have any news yet. I really think the next thing we will hear will be a yes or no answer. If the project was acceptable and the conditions of sale worked out - then there wasn't much left - well except for the Lawyers.
