And now... your moment of creativity. A supergroup girl scout troop I once came across.

I remember back in '04 or '05, I saw a SG named "The Brotherhood" (I think).  There were 6 or 7 done up in monk looking costumes all with names like "Brother Daniel" or "Brother Samuel" and so on.  They all had hover as their travel power and to see them go across Atlas about a foot off the ground in unison was pretty awesome.  I was so blown away, I never thought to get a screen shot.
If I was a Jedi, there's a 100% chance that I'd use The Force inappropriately.

Friends!
Can you ever really return to a world you lost?  Maybe!

awful long link:  http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2014/08/sierra-games-returns-with-new-kings-quest-and-geometry-wars-titles/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+arstechnica%2Findex+%28Ars+Technica+-+All+content%29

This week I found out about another company/product coming back now nearly 14 years since the last published title.   Through a series of unfortunately corporate buy-outs/sales and departure of original creative talent the KQ series seemed relegated to computer gaming history.
No, this is not an MMO, but this is a series very dear to my heart and childhood.  Sierra On-Line's King's Quest series was the flagship of 80s/90s Adventure Game market.   I like to think these games were the predecessor's to the modern social/networked MMO with concepts such as graphical user interfaces, good story telling, problem solving and towards the end a very crude combat system.  Prior to this the great-grand-daddy of games was command prompts and text based games which I barely recall. Zork!

Anyway, I wanted to share a link and wish everyone a happy friday.

Thank You
Duane

OMG I forgotten about this series! They were so fun haha :) Hope they get it going again.  Another game I played as a wee little one was Torin's passage.  Anyone remember that one?

It would be safest to assume that it would be genericed.

Side note: Does anyone else remember that idiot who thought he could make a character that looked like Marvel Comic's "Vision" (with a similar bio, even), and thought no one would recognize it?

Exactly or pretty close? If it was pretty close, then I may be your idiot. The char was Gaic Vision and he did have a different look (alt costume).

I don't remember writing a bio for him though.
Cogito, Ergo... eh?

I remember seeing a char on Union called "Incredible Halk" and also "Wolvereen"....think they got banned ;)

I had a spanish zombie char called "Senor Willy" and his warcry was "I Senor Willy",childish but made me laugh everytime lol.

I also made a char called "Deathsurge",wasnt sure where I got the name from until I went to Cap au Diable lol.
I used to shout "leave me alone puny oomans" when the GM was out, some ppl thought it was real lol.

Ok NCsoft enough is enough sell the game already cos my mids is nearly worn out ;)

Note to self. When this game goes online again, make a toon named The Incredible Hack. Bio: A comic that sucks in telling jokes so he steals others. When he is called out he gets angry. You don't want to see him when he gets angry

Make sure to also allow two handed weapons to have a chainsaw!  Hey, I liked Dr. Salvador.....
Currently; Not doing any streaming, found myself with less time available recently.  Still playing starbound periodically, though I am thinking of trying other games.  Don't tell me to play mmohtg's though please :).  Getting back into participating in VO and the successors again to.

Winter Fable

Can anyone remember if Luck of the Gambler Defense-Increased Recharge Speed could be used only once or more in the same build.I'm trying mids again but I can't remember which enhancements could only be used once in a build.

Look for the word unique on the actual enhancement piece. If it's not there then rule of 5.

Already answered, but I just wanted to add that Mids will prevent you from putting more than 1 into any build if you can have only 1. A pop-up message appears.

I've got one...

Until we actually DO know more about our mysterious sainted brethren (All honor and glory to their cause and efforts)
We should have a clever name to use to refer to them in our invaluable posts of advice and gratitude ... "The Studio" seems a bit generic
Something as clever as SCoRE is what I'm thinking -- though I don't have an instant suggestion

Anyone want to propose?

Contest to end in 10 pages time or when we get tired of it?
Oroborus because they turned back time for all of us.

I've got a bit of a silly story from my time playing this new indie game called GamersGoMakers, a game dev sim. Around 2002 in game time, I released my first MMORPG on PC which was a Cyberpunk-themed game that garnered a modest following. About 85k active users, released 3 expansion packs, made about $400k+ a month, took $10k to maintain. I shut it down after 12 years because I had just released my first home console and wanted to make the sequel as a system exclusive. So I did.

The sequel sold about 35k copies and the fans abandoned it within a couple months. Years passed, released my next console and tried again with the MMO, making the 3rd game in the series. Sold 15k copies, it was abandoned by the people almost immediately.

And I paused the game for a moment to reflect on that and the first thing that came to mind was NCsoft and CoH. I shutdown a dated game that a dedicated fanbase continued to play and pay for to try and coerce them into buying my newer, shinier MMO's. It didn't even matter that it was the same series, they wanted to keep their game.
