Agreed. I'd love to see a statue of a man on a cell phone or an NPC of a man with a cell phone that randomly blurts out familiar lines... That would be great.

My first encounter with SB from a drive-by-buffer was when I was running back to the Hollows on my first character.  Suddenly I was moving VERY fast and had no idea why.   I at first thought I had unlocked some new ability...until it ran out.   It was probably months before I figured out what happened when I looked into making my own Kin.   "Oh...Speed Boost?  That's what it was!"

I don't think you'd even need to try, honestly. The devs can just lock it out like they did with copyrighted stuff and dirty words. Well okay, provided they can access the list to make changes to it, anyway. And even if they couldn't, one of them can create the character themselves for the same reason, before ever opening things up to the public.

But I like that your instinct is to be protective. Good form!

Dude, where do I know you from?!  Wherever/whenever it was obviously it's been too long for my poor memory to handle.  It's awesome to see another fellow Liberty player again :)

I'm putting together a Ritki raid for day one (assuming we get our characters back)  I hope you can make it! :)

I really like RMS raids. I am down for many of them, if we get our toons back.  If not, as soon as I hit the level range, count my toon in! :)

My suggestion for making a Magnetic Control powerset that would have different functionality from Gravity would be to have a Polarity. Some of your powers would give the target a Positive polarity, others a Negative one. Positive powers would do different things to Negative targets than they would to Positive targets, and same for Negative powers. So you could have two different playstyles, depending on what you tagged your enemies with and what powers you then used on them.

That's obviously just a "top of my head" starting point, but I could see someone running with that to interesting places. :)

Everyone starts somewhere.

Here's the most common advice I give to people when it comes to demorecording...

1) TURN OFF THE UI. Seriously, if you're not showing off exploding numbers or in-game chat, you don't need it.

2) Zoom in closer. I don't know why, but a lot of people keep things zoomed way farther out than they need to be. A lot of detail gets lost that way.

3) Don't be afraid to vary your camera angles. (Conversely, don't swing it around so much that you make people nauseous.) Practice rotating the camera and fighting/running with it somewhere other than directly behind you.

4) Keep practicing. :)

That's how I went from this to this.

I only seriously want my favorite three... The rest of the crew would be nice, of course. I was very attached to some of those characters...
But when you really get down to it, I would be happy as little clam just having Kes and Pally and Nem.

I've been torn lately on whether to keep old character names or create new ones, if we don't get our data back. A part of me really wants to make all new characters, but I wouldn't want to take the name of someone's main either.  So what's the general consensus here, first come first serve or are the majority remaking their old characters?

BTW, I realize this is probably a moot  point since servers are likely to change..... but still,  I'm not sure if there's some etiquette involved here.
