I am sorry no updates, but please remember I don't know exactly when the talks are scheduled. I do know once there is a result either way - they will post here and you will finally know who is doing what!

No need to be sorry. We're adults (mostly) and understand that things will happen as they happen and the need for discretion and decorum. It's just good business.

Thank you once for letting us know that the process is still ongoing. One of the most frustrating aspects of waiting is a complete dearth of information. I'm sure you realize that even telling us that CoH is till in play tells us something, even if that is "Please Wait"

There have been a lot of guesses and suggestions on this thread and most of them are ones I can either live with or wholeheartedly endorse (not that anyone cares).

If things go the way we want and I have skills that can be used in that effort, be sure that I will happily make them available. Even if my efforts could only cut one day from the time it takes to get our City back, I would consider that a week's work well spent. Please do not hesitate to volunteer my services to whoever is behind this effort when the time comes or any future efforts that you yourself may undertake should this one not succeed. I thought the plan you had put on hold had merit and would support that one as well.

Yes, the waiting is now for an event to actually occur - which is vastly different from purposeless waiting for some flicker of hope.

When it comes to the City, a flicker of hope is by far better than no hope.  Ironwolf, if there is anything a non-programmer can do to assist, I am at your beck and call.  ;)

Apparently i was thinking of The Waiting.
Although in all honesty Fugazi's Waiting Room is more to my own tastes.
Anyway, this is how i'd imagine the servers would sound right now if they were anthropomorphized.

I seem to recall that I ran the numbers, and that the revenue from CoH was consistent with 50-65k $15/mo subscribers. Obviously a lot of that was microtransactions and not subs (I was spending way more post-freedom).

Yeah, kind of depends on the model. I'll be paying for at least one premium/V.I.P. account. If there's no easy way to transfer funds from one toon to another within the same account, and if they gimp the free accounts ability to transfer funds, then maybe I'll be forced to have two. I guess we'll see.

First off I have to say thank you for all your efforts. This gives us hope.. and to quote one of my favorite lines in a movie..

I'd already transitioned into more of a saving mode.  Just an announcement is all I need to start saving for CoH and cancel the sub for CO.  But in the mean time busy with skyrim and marathon.  Started playing Marathon: Rubicon last night, and damn the scenario is scary(the current version starts in a level with some very nasty background noises from enemies made to scare the crap out of you.  Including the activation sound of one enemy that generally stops me cold in fear).
Currently; Not doing any streaming, found myself with less time available recently.  Still playing starbound periodically, though I am thinking of trying other games.  Don't tell me to play mmohtg's though please :).  Getting back into participating in VO and the successors again to.

Haven't played Marathon and Durandal in at least fifteen years. i should look into this. In many ways Marathon was a precursor to the Halo universe.

I don't always get sucked into a jet engine and live to talk about it, but when I do I use the new ICD-10 V97.33XD code.  Because things like that need to be trended by your insurance company and your money!

Hehe, I still make mods for Myth 2 Soulblighter occasionally.  Found how to make the dwarven nuclear bottle of infinite molotovs work in it a while back(it's not as streight forward as it was in myth 1).  I should do that again got the game installed on my desktop....

One of my burning questions.. and I KNOW it cant be answered..

Chances some of the Paragon team are involved.. or would be willing to work on game if/when procured from NC Soft.

While that would be awesome, I'm not getting my hopes up on that... Just having our City back will be more than enough for me
