The Dev wasn't looking for a job - he wanted to give a little background on how the game was administered and other stuff from what I was made aware of the conversation.

I don't think it would violate any promise to say that it was Dark Watcher. He didn't ask me to keep it secret or anything.

Ha! I love it  :D

And now you've gone and reminded me of an alt idea I had once while watching Back to the Future. An elec/time corruptor, a robot chicken named "Clucks Capacitor"

mrultimate

I just remembered I had a Warshade named "The Heartbreak Squid" and yes his human form was modeled after Shawn Michaels.

I should remake him when the game comes back.

I imagine this will be most of us if we get the news of the return of the game there are a couple swear words but most of it is omg.

It's actually a video of a reaction to the red wedding in Game of Thrones but thought a couple of the reactions were funny.

As someone who knows what they are reacting to and having read the book, I think I am honestly left smiling considering so many were so..hopeful....for that character when I knew the whole time since I'd read that book.  I need to continue reading book #4(but that ones horribly tedious compared to books 1-3).
Currently; Not doing any streaming, found myself with less time available recently.  Still playing starbound periodically, though I am thinking of trying other games.  Don't tell me to play mmohtg's though please :).  Getting back into participating in VO and the successors again to.

May 21 - I ask how the talks are going and if they are making the team jump through hoops: Stupid. Stupid amounts of hoops, as far as I know. I swear, I have no idea how these guys order milk in the morning.

While Positron or War Witch seem obvious, I think somebody in lore would be key.

Why would a Lore dev be key? The Lore AMAs (http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Lore_AMA) give a good enough idea of things... BUT the new studio might want to change everything in them completely, to keep the element of surprise. Either way, the only truly canonical story lines are what happened in game, which is pretty well documented on the wiki. Yes, the Story Bible would be nice to have, and future plans too, but I say that the new studio should go wherever they want, lore wise.
I used CIT before they even joined the Titan network! But then I left for a long ol' time, and came back. Now I edit the wiki.

I'm working on sorting the Lore AMAs so that questions are easily found and linked: http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Lore_AMA/Sorted Tell me what you think!

Okay so random questions that are probably covered somewhere....

*  Who (or which companies) is trying to buy CoH back from NcSoft?
*  If everything goes well, is it going to be a F2P MMO like it was before NC killed it (but with the option to still pay monthly for the 'vet rewards perks/points')?
*  Who will continue to develop the game (make new issues, i24, etc...)?  I'm assuming it's not the same good ol' devs (Posi, Black Scorpion, etc...)
*  Again, if this happens, how will this affect City of Titans?

Uh, I guess that's all I have for now....

It wasn't pointed towards any one individual was just relating to dealing with the slow speed of the huge Corporate machine. I doubt that any of us can say we never had this sort of reaction to dealing with people in large companies/government. This was at the beginning of the deal - I did reply a couple of times that this is what big companies do and to hang in there. It is past all these hurdles and lawyers at the lower level and in the hands of the folks making the deal.

I don't think it is insulting - rather frustration with getting past the lower rings of hell in a corporate situtation.

1.) I don't think that's ever been released.
2.) We won't know until the sale is complete and the person(s) from your first question are revealed.
3.) As it stands, what we do know is there may not be any updates.  Focus would be on CoH2 from what IronWolf has passed on.
4.) I think the CoT developers are the only ones who can answer that question.

:)

1. don't know yet, and they want it that way for now.
2. It seems to be leaning that way.
3. According to Ironwolf NCsoft might not even have the original game anymore, just a copy of the very last thing to come out which was issue 24, so that would come out but after that the team would have to think of something.
4. City of Titans will continue as planed.

I am not at liberty - yet - to say who is involved. Once you know - you will understand why it would make things more complicated. to deal with all the questions at this stage for the team.

The other things we don't know yet - but I am sure City of Titans will continue! I actually look forward to trying all 3 games being made by the community.

Its not likely and probably not wanted by anybody involved but in my dreamworld CoH and CoT someday merge to form CoH2 with a solid modern engine, a massive pile of costume parts, and two big cities to run around in. :)

Missing Worlds Media has stated clearly on their forum that development of CoT will go ahead regardless.  Leaving aside their legal obligation to fulfil the Kickstarter terms, they are already full speed into development of a game that will be similar to CoX but with significant additions.

I assume the other "Phoenix" games in development will continue as well.

Won't it be wonderful if we will have a selection of games to choose from, all of which are as much fun as CoX was to play?

And our limited funds will be split 3+ ways, meaning in all likelyhood none of the games will get sufficient resources to expand and grow. It sounds just dandy.

CO wasn't exactly doing gangbusters before they were sold off. Without PWE involvement there could well be "bring back our game" threads like this for CO these days, just without as much passion because... well... CO. :)

Glad they didn't. They would have no incentive to keep it open. In addition the way they handled CO wouldn't have boded well.

Mine won't be split. I'll probably play whichever one I like the best. Glad to try them, but I can serve only one master at a time.

I was on Liberty from Day 1.  My mains where there, my friends were there.  And the one "true" Prime Knight was there as that was my main and my global:
@Prime Knight

I liked how quiet it was, but for raids, everyone seemed to come together and it was a party, it was a blast!

Also, geek fact:  I started on Liberty because "Liberty" was the name of the first Rebel Alliance Mon Calamari Star Cruiser to be destroyed by the second Death Star in Return of the Jedi.  If you can follow all that that:  we're friends already :)

Yep.

If Freedom and Virtue were "downtown", we were more like the suburbs over on Liberty... Enough people to get things going (and have an absolute blast doing it-), but never SO many players that it felt over-crowded. I also played on Virtue and Union, but Liberty was my favorite.

Like PK, my mains were there and many of my friends were there. It was always my "home base" no matter what I decided to build elsewhere.
