Who said I didn't like it. Just noticing.

Here is a link to the latest demo video released by the SEGs group.  It's still a little rough, but you can see the progress they have made, and the promise of so much more.

What was no more, is now reborn!

Crazy how far they have come on SEGS. I saw the enemies losing health and took a crit to my brain lol.

Fascinating.

Indeed it is :)

Also here's something else that could, but likely will not revive City of Heroes:

In Raging COH-less nights
With Strong Hearts Full, we shall UNITE!

What's that logic?

MMO Client played with a Console-style controller.  I think I've heard this one before... (Looks at Cryptic.)

DC Online tried it too.

I heard Google is going to get rid of their Google+ accounts by April 2. Are we still going to be able to watch City of Heroes videos on Youtube?

Google accounts have been disassociated from Google+ on YouTube for a while now.  Google+ shutdown will not affect anything outside of Google+ for the most part.  YouTube, logging into other sites with your Google credentials, and photos and videos stored in Drive attached to Google+ will all remain as they are.

If you saved videos directly to Google+ that were not put on YouTube, you have until April 2nd to nab them.  https://support.google.com/plus/answer/1045788  If the video is watchable on YouTube, it should be fine.

This shutdown doesn't affect Google Apps/G Suite's version of Google+, which is a separate (and surprisingly updated) offering.  That shouldn't apply to most of us, but if someone says their Google+ is still up and working, that could be why.

Coming along.  The actors take to the stage.  A dress rehearsal.

Azrael.

So I take it you liked that analogy?

I did.  Appropriate and a 'fun' way of explaining the progress which fans of the game can understand.

When they start 'method acting' and a flashing energy torrent can scatter a mob of 'actors' then I'll like it even more.  Of course.

But to see appropriate mobs from Kings Row to Perez to Steel Canyon to Talos etc. taking their place on the stage...it was a very intriguing and exciting thing to see.  The Segs community seem to know what they're doing. ;)

So, the 'script' writers at SEGs can spawn mobs.  Impressive juncture.

And yes, I can well imagine what comes next is a very difficult 'act' to accomplish to get a full combat system working.  (Maybe 'this time' next year?)  But the 'gains' thus far have been noteworthy...and the mobs on stage?

Dramatic!

Thank you. I usually ad lib a lot of that stuff. Looking at it just brought that to mind so.. there it is..

But yeah, basic combat has been played with. Basic AI stuff too. But the real work is as you implied. The scripting group is making things happen everyday. It great to see the progress in the chat as they talk about it.
