Let's do the time warp again...

When I was in college, I played Riff in a shadow cast of that movie. It was one of the most fun experiences of my life, and the time warp was the best part of it all. Seriously I still remember every step of that dance haha!

As much as we all want to read the tea leaves for everything they are worth and then some, I honestly believe this line of speculation is rather like wondering if Costco terminating their exclusive agreement with American Express will change the odds of your local Costco stocking your favorite brand of taquitos.

True..to a certain extent.  However, in business, anything that causes financial ripples within a company can have a direct effect on anything else that company does.  So, if one accepts that as an axiom, then deals like the one for CoH could easily become collateral damage caused by NCSoft turning their attention to more pressing matters.  Also, if Nexxon is successful, the new owners might take a totally different view of how this property should be handled.  So, I don't think a modicum of concern is totally unwarranted.

On another topic, seeing 742 views on the thread Codewalker made show a good estimated number on how many individuals are interested in this game. Granted people can view it more than once, but, I am assuming (or hoping) less than 10% are multiple views.

The number doesn't include me. I figure I'll just wait for this thread to explode. Anticipation is fun. Or so I keep telling myself.

I read the initial post once, and that will do until I see the post count go up on a locked thread.  Then, there will be something of interest to see.

Then my dyslexia really kicked into overtime. Which is surprising since I don't really have dyslexia.

Well, not where letters are concerned anyway.  If 364 really spelt dog, then I'd worry.  ???

I just noticed that the view count for this particular thread is now up over half a million!  That would likely be a lot of repeat views, but that is still a lot of interest in the topic.  Well, that and some side topics included within to help pass the time.

I started to mention this earlier.. You'd think the number of views might have a great impact on expediting the sale of the game.  I bet this thread has far more views than most of the threads in AION, guildwars or other ncsoft games... Not that view count means number of subscribers or anything but it sure does show the interest.

I don't click on it, I just look at the post date whenever I stop by to see if there are any new posts since it went up.  I'd imagine that if anything there are a lot more people checking it than you think, but doing it the way I do, without going into the thread.   :)  Codewalker mentioned his new stickied thread in both of these other megathreads, so it's easy to find it, go there and glance at it without clicking.

Views are over 1,000 now, so there a a lot folks who don't take the passive approach to checking it, or there are that many seeing what is there for the first time.  Hard to tell which, but I figure it will just keep going up.

I've met  Al Gore.  They did.

He was actually from Krypton.  All he had to do to fit in on Earth was to swap his first and last names.

For Signs, that's not the part that bugs me.  If you're looking for a living species you go to where they are.  If that means going to a planet filled with water when it can harm you, that's where you have to go.   If you're looking for fish you don't go checking out the trees.

The problem with Signs is that they go to a planet covered with a substance that can kill them and they go down naked!  They can cross instersteller distances but they can't figure out a way to cover their bodies?  Or work a door knob.

Water soluble aliens coming to a planet covered with water isn't the worst of the WTF things with that movie

Two drunk aliens at frat party:

A1:"I'm tougher than you!"
A2:"No, I'm tougher!"
A1:"Prove it!"
A2:'I'll invade a planet where death-fluid falls from the sky!"
A1:'Well, I'll do the same thing, without any weapons!"
A2:'Oh yeah?  We'll *"I'LL* do it without weapons, *NAKED*!"
A1:"Ooo, that's tough.  Why are we doing this again?"
A2:"To impress chicks, why else?"

so thats what that 'UFO' falling fro the sky and changing direction was.. I thought I could see a human-like shape inside, must have gone even further.

A1: I'll not only do it naked I Bet I can do it naked from orbit!
A2: yeah? prove it!
There is always another way. But it might not work exactly like you may desire.

A wise old rabbit once told me "Never give-up!, Trust your instincts!" granted the advice at the time led me on a tripped-out voyage out of an asteroid belt, but hey it was more impressive than a bunch of rocks and space monkies.

1000 is not a lot of people.
