Some of my earliest "nerd" experiences were with materials created, at least in part, by this guy. Time to bust out the old D&D box sets and "dungeon dice" and introduce the kids to Karameikos!

Can't find a proper obit, but it apparently is out there in the blogs.
I wouldn't use the word "replace," but there's no word for "take over for you and make everything better almost immediately," so we just say "replace."
