Be sure to let everyone know what is going on in the image you've selected.

A little explanation:
Many people here on Titan have shared their screens of the final moments on Dec 1 2012. They're holding torches in Atlas Park or doing other emotes in assorted favorite locations.
Well, 15 minutes before midnight, I'd just finished the hilarious Mender Tesseract SF and darted off to Peregrine Island. People were scattered throughout the island fending off those pesky aliens. I immediately broadcast a Rikti Invasion league forming, and ended up leading a league encompasing everyone in the entire zone. We were doling out epic devastation to the Rikti when, finally, everything ground to a depressing, infinite halt.

This screenshot is from my demo of that final, glorious battle. Floride died as he lived - shoulder to shoulder with close friends and PUGs alike, defending his city from the malevolent forces intent on destroying it.
We were heroes, it was what we did.
And in Peregrine on Libs, a ragtag band of misfit heroes and villains died proving it.

This was the last image I ever saw in game. And I wouldn't trade this memory for anything in the world.

(Floride is hovering (white hair, black shirt and jeans) just below the upper-leftmost Heavy Assault Suit. His name does not appear above him in the raw demo of that fateful night. Image has been cropped.)

I have several favorites....

My favorite picture of my "main"... Grey Kestrel, obviously longing for Saint Martial as much as I do.

My favorite character portrait... Whisper, guarding the light from her place in the shadows.

My favorite "City screen used as Desktop wallpaper"... One tiny light in a very dark world.

And this one of Cap au Diable, which I still think is the most beautiful of the many, many landscape screens I took before the end. (Quite a few of those ended up in my screenshot thread-)

If I was forced to only pick one for the contest... It would have to be that last one. The landscape screen of Cap.

This was taken the week she turned from her dark ways. Alas, she didn't get to become fully Hero, but she made it half way.

She emerged victorious after ending Mot's destruction. After fighting Mot, she learned that the path she had taken, would meet the same end.

I have a few personal iconic favorites from City of Heroes.

When the Rikti first invaded I was in Talos Island at the time.

Or the final mission with Col. Burkholder's giant robot inside of a volcano? That was really cool.

OK so here's one I didn't plan out ahead of time...

My character is the green one on the left. A Plant/Nature Controller named Tuuwaqatsi. I don't know who that brown fellow was. He just walked up to me to that... that was a contact, right? (Gods I'm starting to forget the details to this game, help me!) Anyways, it was interesting 'cause his character and mine looked like they could have been from the same race or something.

The Chantry being bombarded by Rularuu. This screenie was taken on my old old computer, hence the miniature size. Or maybe that was required size for the background image...I don't remember. I took shots of all the zones and had them cycling through as my character selection backgrounds.

Tiffany Blackheart, martial artist (top), my fire/rad troller Indigo Rose (Dark Candy before I moved her from Freedom to Virtue) with cool color effect (middle) and the Eden Trail with my Peacebringer Holy Bell(bottom). Eden Trial was always one of the most beautiful things in the game, visually anyway.

I found some things of interest in a search for the source.

One is a real product! http://www.superblanky.com/

Another is the archived page for the contest that I assume the image is from: http://web.archive.org/web/20121003113202/http://na.cityofheroes.com/en/news/news_archive/the_city_of_heroes_billboard_c.php (the links are not archived, and go to the Sunset page or something). Googling the winning artist's name and City of Heroes leads us to: http://mikemetcalfdraws.com/about/index.php A Florida based artist, which checks out with the info on that archived page.

The other is a CoH SG website, which has the image at a nice resolution, since the artist's site does not.
