New Joker Voice Actor

And the job goes to.... Troy Baker!!!  I was floored by his work on The Last of Us.  One of the most emotive voice actors I've ever heard.  Here's a clip.  There's a little bit of preamble so if you wanna cut to the chase you can skip to 2:15.

I could see this growing on me. He certainly nailed the laugh.

Sounded very much like Mark Hamill's Joker.  I approve of this.

It sounds right. That's the important thing.

I think Mark Hamill should be extraordinarily proud as an actor - as good as others have been at the Joker (Jack Nicholson, Heath Ledger, John DiMaggio, etc) whenever anybody thinks about the character anymore we hear THAT VOICE and THAT LAUGH. He's put an indelible mark on the mythos by defining for a generation what the Joker should SOUND like.

And Troy Baker can definitely do THAT VOICE and THAT LAUGH. So it's all good.

Joker's incarnations such as Jack's, Heath, and Mr. DiMaggio, are remembered because they made the role their own. And this guy did too.
