Got my Jet Pack back

I sure was glad when I came back to the game and found out they put Jet Packs in CoH. When they made them only 1 easy hop away from Atlas Park I cheered too.

I like being able to have to fly but I usually don't so it was great to not have to ever burn a power choice on flying unless I wanted to.

So, when playing CO that was one thing I missed. But hey! They have them! Here's mine.

There's also an actual jetpack power you can take, too, though I don't remember if free players get it. Might have to buy it. Still, it's there and dedicating a power slot to it isn't such a big thing in CO since it puts travel powers in seperate travel only slots anyway.

Jet Pack is a free TP. There is a pack of purchasable jetpack costume pieces, though.

Having a device with the Fly ability is a nice thing if I'd rather have, say, Athletics + Flag Speed or Teleportation as my travel powers but still want to fly on occasion. Plus, I never pick up Fly as my first travel power choice and now there is no longer that long wait until the second travel power comes along due to I can just click my Jboots errr Jet Pack errr Become Device!

I always want to be able to fly because sometimes it makes life easier but I generally don't want it as a travel power choice. This was especially true in CoH where we didn't have slots dedicated for travel powers (I wanted the free slot!) but for me it still applies to CO. Soooo I'm happy to know that there is a way to continue my tradition of getting Fly for Free.

There's probably even better ways to go about it. This one just happened to fall into my lap and I had to share my lightbulb moment.
