Hopefully they can capture the quirkiness of Mother 2/Earthbound, or the heartwrenching emotional depth of Mother 3 correct. Better still if they can do both at once, without being a rehash of Mother 3 with different characters. They do at least seem to have the art style correct.
And hey, they brought the hotel theme back from Earthbound! ... in fact they seem to have brought a lot of music back from the previous games. Not sure how I feel about that, since with only a few exceptions, previous Mother games each had their own with few homages - and those played at very deliberate moments.
Well, it'll be another year before they release it, so... they still got plenty of time to refine things. Hopefully it turns out well.
