First of all, I sympathize with the original post!  I too want CoH back!   Re: methodology, while magic and Magick have various traditions, almost all of which relate to intent as much or more than the manner in which intent is expressed, I'd like to be indulged to point out a couple of (obvious) things.  1. Wishing alone rarely creates reality; though 2. If one doesn't dream and/or wish, nothing moves forward; 3. it's important to not to waste one's wishes and to wish for (optimally) the very best things--think about all those stories you've read about genies and wishes, etc., and/or watch the movie Bedazzled (while I like the original with Peter Cook and Dudley Moore (1967), the remake (2000) with Brendan Fraser and Elizabeth Hurley is also excellent and perhaps speaks better to the point I'd like to make http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0230030/

Most of my prayers, or if you prefer to call that magic I won't quibble, goes towards the environment and ecological concerns these days, along with a few other causes.  At a recent Theosophical Society meeting we watched this film What the Bleep Do We Know, a wonderful film that I had not seen in years, that discusses consciousness, intent, along with Quantum physics, as well as biology and a few other topics.  If you've not seen it, I highly recommend this movie.  (As a side note, the bit about water molecules in the film and how they respond to Gratitude and love is much better explained and with more photographs by the "Hidden Messages in Water" books.  Here's one of the many youtube URLs on this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAvzsjcBtx8 )

As a Science Fiction reader and long time fan of Arthur C. Clarke, naturally I like and endorse Clarke's third law: Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. (Wiki has a nice, short article on this:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clarke%27s_three_laws )

I have read some books about occultism and secret societies of the early 19 hundreds such as Order of the Golden Dawn which Alleister Crowley belonged to.

Some people think that magic is nothing more than projecting your intent into reality. When you have a group of strong willed individual meditating or projecting a goal it theoretically can put the wheel of manifestation into motion.

So which is the most desirable outcome, single purpose we can channel our passionate reserves for this game?

To me this outcome would be the best news:

Due to popular demand NCsoft re-opens City of Heroes including 8 year contracts for Paragon Studios and their returning team of Devs with new issue being released as previously planned.

Light a candle, meditate and project your desirable outcome into the canvas of the universe. Maybe if thousands of people focus on this on top of all the active measures taken that reality can emerge?

Yes, I am desperate enough to suggest magic
Sometimes I light candles, and almost always meditate.  While I appreciate very much the desired outcome you'd like to see--because it really would be a beautiful dream come true were that to happen--though I'd also want to throw in a big pay raise for the devs along with complete artistic control and autonomous direction of the newly reformed Paragon Studios in the model you suggest.  At minimum, please permit me, Nilbog, to send some Love, appreciation and gratitude to you for voicing what many of us have wished.  Take good care, and study up some more.  We don't want good people suffering psychic backlash from good intentions.  Holding you in the Light.  Have a beautiful day!   :)
