Call to Action: Celebrating the 9th Anniversary

Ladies, Gentlemen, Mutant Dogs, and Sentient Spam, please forgive the lengthy post you're about to jump into. I've tried to make it as short and concise as possible. What I am about to propose isn't a call to action, it isn't a twitter campaign to undo what has been done to us. Instead, it is about marking the date that means so much to all of us. It's about reminding everyone what City of Heroes means to us. This isn't a time for negativity, this is about celebrating what was and what could have been. Join me in this celebration of love towards our beloved City of Heroes.

#9Reasons City of Heroes Shouldn't be gone. Friday, April 26th the 10 day twitter campaign begins!

A simple list.

Each day we want to send a small, simple list to NCSoft and the world with 9 reasons City of Heroes should return.

Themes

Every day will have it's own theme. Whether you put them all in one tweet or 9 matters not.

Friday April 26: 9 Ways City of Heroes was an innovator in the industry
Saturday April 27th: 9 Favorite Task Forces or Missions
Sunday April 28th: 9 City zones that need saving
Monday April 29th: 9 Unsolved Plots
Tuesday April 30th: 9 In game events that can't go on without heroes
Wednesday May 1st: 9 Things that never made it in game
Thursday May 2nd: 9 Favorite NPCs
Friday May 3rd: 9 Real life reasons we want the game back
Saturday May 4th: 9 Player Characters. The names of nine of your characters.
Sunday May 5th: 0 Replacements. No list, just a statement that there is no replacement for City of Heroes.

I talked to a few people after I read this and feelings on it seemed to be a bit mixed. Some of them agreed with you while others could see where you were coming from but ultimately didn't think it would be a problem. I tend towards the second myself.
Even if we did get confused for the #1reasonwhy campaign I don't think it would really be a bad thing. They're all about promoting a gaming community that includes everyone, no matter their gender, race, or sexual orientation. And the City of Heroes community is the perfect example of that community.

Twitter is like internet text messaging. You have 140 character (or so) limit.
Hash tags (#) are searchable things. So in the top search box, let's say you type in #SaveCoH you'll see everyone who ever used that hash tag.
You have a Tweet box (top left I believe) - It'll say Tweet. And that's where you type. Don't forget the hash tag. Make it short & sweet because hash tags also count towards your character limit.

Or people looking to be upset. I mean, I'm a giant fan for social justice and stuff, but the only way I could see being offended by them being similar is if the Save CoH movement was actively promoting sexism. But there's people that will get upset at anything.

That said #SaveCoH is a toooon more noticeable and it's already very established, and will show up in searches a lot better, so it's probably the better solution even if you're not worried about hurting anybody's feelings.
