Hey gang, sorry it's been awhile since the last call. Titan Icon has pretty much taking care of a lot of calls that I had - aaaaand it's so much fun :)

But I do have another call for screenies that I need your help on. Could you post or send me pix of your final hours on CoX? If you spent it on a TF or in Atlas, hanging with friends, the lost connection alert - any you would like to submit - I'm doing a slideshow for the "The End" section of the website. I'll attribute each image I use with your global. Thanks!

Heh. I spent the last day finishing each of my chars' stories, then had a blast running with every mission team I could join. Will do.

And yes, I have a screen of the end of Beta Server. :)

My husband and I spent the time leading up to the end jumping around to our favorite zones with our favorite toons to toss rose petals into the air. We chose the places with the best skies because the skies were our playground. It was very hard to switch zones as we were basically saying goodbye to those maps for the final time.

Three of my four alts have been soloing to get me screenshots and demorecords of their "final stories".
Before that, Silver Spartan found the RWZ was overrun by Devouring Earth.
"Somewhere beyond time and space, if you look hard you might find a flash of silver trailing crimson: a lone lost Spartan on his way home."

Ghostslinger visited the night ward but spent the remainder of her time during that last day hunting down the last of the Circle of Thorns mages responsible for her becoming a revenant went to find a place for her eternal rest only to find out that destroying her would-be masters did not stop her existence. "Wake me when you need me" didn't work out either. (Yeah, cliffhanger, sue me. :p)

Engine Jean found Atlas Park strangely empty. Going back in time to save her other-dimensional counterpart resulted in another failure - but also the discovery that "counterpart" was a future, rather than alternate version of her (first pic is an edit.. took me a while to get the screenshots for it)
Oh well... Jean's still Jean - running at super-speed and punching thugs into orbit "in the name of justice", and not going to stop.

Booster Angel's story began before CoH and did not end with it. The last day of Paragon City for her began in Independence Port and was largely spent in Peregrine Island and Rikti War Zone teaming up and running missions with every team that took on a Beam Rifle blaster.
Close to the End Time, she did stand watch for a while, but shortly after someone proposed to end things with a bang...

...through an all-out assault at the Devouring Earth in RWZ.
During that last hurrah, my client suddenly crashed (probably because I was in the zone while it was being reset?) Was that the server going down? But no, I started the game and logged in without a problem - only to find the Devouring Earth gone from RWZ. We were pulling together into one last team but the world ended before it came to that.

I played for a while, different characters.   My first fifty.    Then kind of randomly picked one of my favorites on Infinity, The Awesome Phenomenal FATRON, Energy/Energy/Munitions Blaster.    Went to ICON, traded in my suit & cape for jeans and a t-shirt (with the harlequin masks, smiling face set to the color of the t-shirt, frowny face bright yellow, like I'd been doing for all my toons since the announcement), then hung out in AP3 on the steps until the end of the world.  Kind of anticlimactic.
