Quote"The old man's gonna go knock on the sky. Listen to the sound!"

I think it's from Tron Legacy. If I remember correctly it is related to a Chinese proverb/saying.

"It's about the trucks. Today's truck was two minutes late, tomorrow's will be four minutes late, and then six minutes late, and then eight minutes late. And the next thing you know, we're the U.S. mail."
Listen to the 'mustn'ts'. Listen to the 'don'ts'. Listen to the 'shouldn'ts', the 'impossibles', the 'won'ts'. Listen to the 'you'll never haves', then listen close to me... Anything can happen . Anything can be.

Okay, that one I'm pretty sure I know. That's Tom "Wiiiillsoooon!" Hanks in Castaway. :D

Errmm... ooh!

"Chicks dig me, because I rarely wear underwear and when I do it's usually something unusual. But now I know why I have always lost women to guys like you. I mean, it's not just the uniform. It's the stories that you tell. So much fun and imagination."

Before you give us the answer, Atlantea, I'd like to offer Dances with Oscars Wolves as the source for your quote.  I would not have gotten it but I think there may be only one film with a chief named Ten Bears.  :)   As to your new quote, well, I haven't a clue.   Good luck, fellow gamers!   :)

You have the right idea. But the wrong movie and decade.

It's from Clint Eastwood's The Outlaw Josey Wales.

"I've never believed in the End Times. We are mankind. Our footprints are on the moon. When the last trumpet sounds and the Beast rises from the pit — we will KILL it."

Wow - good call! That's right! It's used almost as a toss-away line to a scene-change while Flynn, Sam, and Quorra are on the Light Sailer.

That's from Stripes, right?

"How come God hogs up all the good followers, and we're left with the retards?"
I'm bad and that's good.
I'll never be good and that's not bad.
There's no one I'd rather be than me.

...unless I could be Batman, of course. Everybody wants to be Batman.

Somehow I don't think so. I don't remember the line from the movie. But that's not 100% foolproof. It just seems that it's not something Kevin Smith would write. And I can't exactly say why.

"We're left with the retards."  Hm. If it IS from Dogma, seems it would've been said by the demon Azrael. But ehhhh... (waves hand back and forth)

I was actually thinking it was the kind of thing the Prophet girl would've said, rolling her eyes about Jay and Bob. So yeah, I'm probably wrong.

It's not Dogma.
If it helps, the line's from a comic book movie.

Don't have any answers to the above (at least not without googling them)

But I just discovered an utterly BAD ASS quote that I have to share. But I'm not going to make it secret. Because that would be cheating. Because while related to a movie's background material, it's not actually IN the movie! This comes from one of the prequel comics to the movie "Pacific Rim".

"I've never believed in the End Times. We are mankind. Our footprints are on the moon. When the last trumpet sounds and the Beast rises from the pit — we will KILL it."
— Gen. Stacker Pentecost

(edit: In fact - screw it - that's good enough for a sig line and I'm making it mine right now. :D )

That IS an awesome quote, Atlantea!

"I know. I just have so many questions. Like how did I ever fit in this tiny basket? Why didn't I like pants? And who am I?"

Po to his father in "Kung Fu Panda 2".

And, since no one seems to have guessed my last one, it's from "How to Train Your Dragon".

I think we have a new round upon us. I'll kick it off -

"I like that suit. Is that what they're wearing in London?"

"It was when I left."

That was a fantastic movie, Time After Time was.  So good.

So... I feel like this quote here:

"Well, you've been bragging about your scrambled eggs.  It's time I found out just how good they really are."

healix

Wow, Houtie...not a clue. Now I am hungry for scrambled eggs, durn yer hide *stomps away to grab a frying pan*

"No. A fat country. Fat people."

"You are not fat?"

"No. I'm different. "

I agree!  That's an awesome quote!!

Back to the topic.  Um, gee, I guess I need to see more movies.  Unless I were to google 'em, I confess I have no idea.

"We must be the change we wish to see in the world." -- Mahatma Gandhi         "In every generation there has to be some fool who will speak the truth as he sees it." -- Boris Pasternak
"Where They Have Burned Books They Will End In Burning Human Beings" -- Heinrich Heine

I think it's from Resident Evil.

"Mother Nature is a serial killer. No one's better, more creative."
