Wake the Media (might this be a good idea?)

Hi, real sorry for the delayed answer!

The newspaper I work for is a local one, covering about a 10 mile area, and we get hundreds of press-releases a week. So as far as bothering them goes, it's pretty much your job to get bombarded by people wanting you to cover their story. I don't think you'd be harming COH or it's legacy, or the SaveCOH campaign to try and place a story somewhere :)

Since no one is protesting so far and I still think that we could benefit a lot from this, i would really like to make a try? (if you think its not worth the effort, just tell me and ill stop :) )

The first thing we need to do then would be to get the questions for our form, since we obviously cant change them later when sending them.
The basic idea was to ask questions that the media would ask as well (doing their job for them :) ) and also to show them that there are a lot of people to whom this game meant alot.
That also was my idea of making them care? ( If you just read the stories like here: http://www.cohtitan.com/forum/index.php/topic,6654.0.html for example and we are able to collect a lot of them, i dont think its easy to not care anymore? )

You can see my first suggestion for questions above? Happy for any more/corrections? :)

We could also think about some more critique questions like: The game is 8 years old which is much older then most MMOs get, wasnt it time for the game to finally close?

We could skip the name and I think we should allow just "(anonym) " as name, but it would make a much greater impression (especially over the internet) if people are standing to their opinion with their own name?

The second question would be how we collect the forms?
We can just make another "Call to Action" entry, so people can just copy the questions from there. But (being the small underling that i am :) ) im not sure if i should be the one doing that? (or even can :) )

My idea was that we collect the filled out forms by simply creating an E-Mail for it?
Alternatively, the answers could just be posted in the forum, but this might be a problem with all the real names and not everyone has a titan key? Also if everyone sees everyones answer, we also might get a lot of repeating?

And again, being the small underling that i am, im not sure if i should be the one collecting the answers?
(Dont wanna raise any suspicion of data collecting :) ) So maybe someone better known might collect them?

Again, if you think this is all a bad idea, just tell me :) But i really think we have a lot to win and not much to loose by this?
Im also still open for any alternatives, but better to approach the media with something like this then to not approach them at all?

I really dont mind doing the work, i just didnt wanted to start a community wide action like this all by myself without at least some people agreeing on it :)

What made City of Heroes so special in comparison to other MMOs?

I will leave the final suggestion here until next friday, then i will post a new Call to Action Topic with the questions and some text explaining what we want to do with this. I will also prepare an E-Mail address where people can sent the answers to and then just see what happens :)
