* DrakeGrimm is of Irish stock, and this song always hits hard.

* DrakeGrimm had his Irish-American Superman/Captain America tanker Front Lines sing this song at his unofficial sidekick's funeral.

* DrakeGrimm just took a critical hit to the feels, and thinks AA did a great job.
We are the crazy ones, the mavericks, the dreamers, the forgotten sons. We color outside the lines for fun. We are the crazy ones! - "The Crazy Ones," Stellar Revival

*lets out a long sigh*

On the one hand, I could smack you for not having started making videos sooner. You are absolutely brilliant.

On the other hand, if you had, I'd have been too intimidated to ever trying making videos of my own.

I'm going to cry again aren't I?

... watches video ...

Yep.

The upside of all these goodbye videos is I'm getting a nice list of songs to play at my eventual wake.

Edit:  When did we get a sky lantern emote?

That's the beauty of editing.  Several emotes spliced together to create what never was, but should have been.  And the lanterns edited in later.

That song is stunning.  You should put the artist info in the 'About' section.

Very pretty....   :'(

...I'm still hoping, though, that we'll see someone do a humorous farewell for CoH, if videos are even possible anymore...the comedian in me would LOVE to do it, but I lack the program files and knowledge on how to do so....  *sigh*

Beautiful.  Melancholy, but beautiful.  That last scene was just...

Damn ninja onions.  'scuse me...

Thanks everyone for the replies.  Demo editing and creating videos can still be done while offline thanks to some great tools made by Leandro and Codewalker  :).  I have been in our city every day since the close, and I will continue to make videos and other works until we all get to go home again.

If you have any inclination for a humorous video or 2, let me know(here and/or a message)...I'll brainstorm like mad for something!

...all I'd ask is, assuming I can recover the demo/related files someone sent me awhile back, that my beloved Scrapper shows up!  :D

Angelus Animi

I'm open to any ideas.  I have lots of irons in the fire but whats a few more  :).  For anyone out there that would like their characters in videos or to be able to make screen shots of them, even if you didn't get a demo of them, there are tools to pull the character info from the sentinel extractor file and create a character costume file.  Leandro has been asking for your favorite screen shot locations so that you can upload your character to a website and take screen shots in various locations.

Here I am, sobbing openly again....
Listen to the 'mustn'ts'. Listen to the 'don'ts'. Listen to the 'shouldn'ts', the 'impossibles', the 'won'ts'. Listen to the 'you'll never haves', then listen close to me... Anything can happen . Anything can be.

Atlantea

*sigh* Beautiful.

I must learn how to do this, so I can be with my girls again.

I kept my composure until the 4:59-5:00 mark.

Well spoken.
Aram:  "Man, just look at all this.  Sometimes it's hard to believe that we get to live surrounded by such wonder."
Gamal:  "We don't live over there." Aram:  "We don't?"
Gamal:  "No.  We live over there." Aram:  "... But it's all on fire."
Gamal:  "Yes it is, Aram.  Yes it is."

Another great piece of art. Thank you very much!

That was amazing.  Thank you so much for making it!

Do you have pointers to Leandro and Codewalker's tools or is there a place on the forums or sourceforge or somewhere for them?

Such an amazing video.

Truly beautiful.  Deeply touched my Irish-American soul as well.  Shed a few tears with that one, especially at the end with the luminaries.  Thank you for sharing this.

The lanterns weren't edited in later. What you see is what the COH engine was rendering.

Angelus Animi has a knack for finding pretty things in the city zones and figuring out new uses for them. I break into the PIGGs and find the tech bits she wants.

My Doomsday video is not humorous (though it has a few hidden jokes that I'm not sure many will get), but after that's done I have two videos planned. One will be set in Kallisti Wharf (after fixing a lot of the zone geometry that was incomplete) and will feature Flambeaux's "love story" with Proton. It's a bit funny and goes back to the fun and dancing side of COH.

Anyone have a demo of the winter lord event that they would be willing to share?

Really beautiful work Angelus, lovely choreography, but loved the paper lanterns addition most of all.  Definitely a keeper.
