(Ya know, I mostly avoided the actual words, but the substitute words are just so fun to play with...  ;D)
I wouldn't use the word "replace," but there's no word for "take over for you and make everything better almost immediately," so we just say "replace."

They look sorta like quadrilateral parallelograms that aren't quite rhomboid to me.
