Well said and good stuff.  I mostly just lurked the forum and hung out in global for some good laughs, and was never disappointed.  The RP Bingo was the best!  I may try out Champions for this reason only.

Well, I put the revenue breakdown into this context - if CoH was 2% of NCsoft's total revenue, and North America was 4%, then NCsoft is just two CoH-sized shutdowns away from pulling out of the entire US market. I know numbers don't work that way, but it does put things into perspective.

The pattern goes rather far back.   Meridian 59 ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meridian_59 ) was launched in '96, shut down in 2002, and then purchased and reopened by 2 of the original developers.  They managed to keep it running into 2010.
