The end is near! ...so how will you go into the night?

I'm torn between three possible options here:

1. Attempting to get the "Army of Me" badge (and most certainly failing), with me being a bots/dark mastermind, which means going up against 48-56 or so minions alongside 8 of myself (which would be spectacular!)

2. Getting into a large group of villains and doing a level 54+ or so Mayhem mission. Again, this would be spectacular, and glorious.

3. Going out in the sensible way, remembering all of the wonderful things that the game offered - by creating a character and spending time in the character creator until lights go out.

If you have any other ideas let me know, or just share your own personal desire for the proper exit.

I finished every of my toons' stories.
Silver Spartan is going home.
Engine Jean's struggle to become a better person continues.
Ghostslinger found a site to lay herself to rest, only to find out she still cannot die. Her story is over... maybe.
Booster Angel... she was created as the ultimate soldier. And if there is anything to be said about her it's that she will fight until the stars themselves go out.

As I stated in another thread, I will be in Echo Galaxy City at "the park" - I will end my journey where it began. Using my first CoH character ever from 2004 "T J" I got disconnected and am 670 out of 1108 in Que, but in the park seeing all those names I remember from when I started, I may just lose it.... I'm very emotional right now. Thank you all for 8 great years.

That appears to be the end. No one can get back in. I went trying to help a friend get into Gemini. Very appropriate way for Sister Colette Valiant to end her time in Paragon City, at least for now. Tiger Gold, I'm sorry if you never got there.

I thought for sure my plans were going to be ruined when I had 10 minutes left and was facing off against 2 ring mistresses and their damn illusions. unaffected, unaffected, unaffected, I kept seeing.

But by some miracle my bots pulled through and mopped them up. 6 minutes remained.

I exited the mission, grabbed another paper mission, auto-completed it, headed to my broker, got the mayhem mission, teleported to it, zoned in, and made a break for that bank faster than I've ever done before.

went up the elevator and hid in a corner perfectly situated to set my bots up shooting at the door while enemies clumped up into a big pile of mess. I let them tank while I grabbed the cash, and then mopped them up. but a hero was coming up soon, and it was going to be an intense fight.

1 minute remains before lights out. I see his health stop dropping - he's one of THOSE bosses! I unload everything I have into him - and he falls. MISSION COMPLETE! I race out the door, letting laserblasts fly as I kick, shoot, and plow through everything in my way.

Zero minutes remain.

BONUS TIME! flashes across the screen.
0:30 for resisting arrest!

I refuse to say this is the end for my toons.. but I have put them in good places in their stories...

Spice and Abner finally married and are going with Zarah Neman, their SG leader, and the rest of the group to New York city and see what trouble Fae can get into there
Staysis will stay with Zero to manage the Temple
Twylite will go with Empyrean to his dimension to try to stop the end of Paragon City
Cloud and Blynd are looking for a new place to set up their base of operations to train young metas

and I had two surprises..
Kwil and Hard Freeze each received surprise marriage proposals from long time partners .. and so will go off with their new partners

omg.. this is the hardest night I've had in a long time..

Took Jane Q. Public, my toughest character, out into Eden on Exalted. Figured I'd go take a look at the Hamidon, maybe go down fighting. :)

Someone had already killed him. So I just stood there and watched the giant monsters roam around until everything shut down. Don't really know why, but it felt like the thing to do. Go as far as I could into the wilderness and watch the game unfold.

My main, Gypsy Witch, was in RWZ 3 for a ship raid. I wasn't really keen on it, but I needed fighting to keep me distracted, and I didn't want to be alone at the end.

On my second box, my first toon, Dandybelle, was holding a torch in AP.

I got Johnny Wraith to level 50 night before last. Ran "Who Will Die" story arc last night along with gaining at least a sliver of Incarnate. Ran "Pandora's Box" story arc tonight, clearing it solo in gold time. Barely.

Last five(actually ten) minutes I chatted with SG mates who came back for the close, swapped contact info and stood at the steps under Atlas. Triumph server, first server I made a character on. Picked it because it was low population.

Eight years ago, a bus dropped me off there, let me live in Paragon City. I figured one would pick me up again.

Alas, I can't figure out how to insert a screenie into this post, but I went out on Liberty server in AP4 (AP 1-3 were FULL), under the statue.  The place was packed, people were sad. We spammed heals, ice storms, etc.  A couple of us dropped all our pets, incarnate ones, shivans, snow beasts, everything we had.  It was sad, but I was happy to be amongst so many wonderful, caring people (we admitted that many of us were crying).

Followed UltraBatz in stomping Hami into a puddle in under 40 minutes, joined a final photoshoot in a base with LONG TIME CoX friends, and finished the night partying in the Matrix Room.  Goodnight Triumph.
