The server to be on Friday night?

So...here it is just under a year from the loss of Star Wars Galaxies, and once again I find myself with this conundrum. What it comes down to is what I felt was doing it right. My main server was Flurry, but I did develop some alts on Starsider to mingle with the role-players. By the time 'Galaxies was in its final month, most of my guildies and friends had departed; the one exception was a final day meeting with the guild leader who was really my mentor in that game, the one who taught me much of what it was to be a good Jedi, and most of how to be a Rebel ace pilot. We had an emotional final meeting in Doaba Guerfel, and I watched her fly off into the snowy haze. After that point, there was really nothing left for me on Flurry, and I did a last day transfer to SS.

If you look in the YouTube videos on Starsider's final mission, I am there; with the masses in front of the old starport at Mos Eisley. It all felt so circular and complete, that we ended where so many of us started out. There was something of a sense of accomplishment, but I also knew once I got onto a SWG emu and rerolled my main character, I'd take those first steps again on that hallowed sand.

So, last night I noticed the partying was going late into the night on night in Pocket D on Virtue, which was holding the largest server population. Not only that, the chalet was still open, for whatever reason, it was not on the other servers I visited. I tuned into The Cape- I'm glad they're going to be in Champions Online as well, because I will.

After seeing the initial, big protests, I felt that maybe that's how we'd all go out- all holding torches on the steps of city hall in Atlas Park. But no doubt that Virtue's nightlife was all in the club.

I always loved the chalet, it's was one of my favorite spots of all time. I was always a proponent of leaving it open year-round. While I ran with some of the Role Play Congress on Pinnacle, and of course the upper level bar blueside was their spot- and I noticed that same area was the focus last night on Virtue. On my downtime between missions, I'd often sit on a quiet spot off to the side of the ski slops or the chutes with my Architect comlink open, planning my next story arc.

So, that's the question I am asking. What server and what place? Once again I find very few long-term friends still logged into CoH, and I may want to stand again with the community en masse in solidarity. What has Titan planned for this, or anyone else for that matter? Does anyone know if the devs plan to run something? I know Dr. Aeon was in Virtue last night.

My old guild leader Nasra Fel logged off in our guild city; on the riverside and a short drive east of Tyrena on Corellia...I've seen a touching video of someone sitting down by a tree overlooking the countryside of Naboo or Rori. That's too lonely for me; my mains' M.O. is always as a defender of the realm, who would be standing with everyone when it counted the very most.
