Nah. I'm not that familiar with the ducks, but I always pegged Scrooge to be a Cool Old Guy type - not to mention that he's completely self-made.

Scrooge McDuck reformed himself if anything. Not that you can make any logical CANON timeline between Disney's Christmas Carol and Ducktales, but...

In the former, he did the Scrooge thing and saw the light in the end.

In the latter, he was sometimes cranky, royally obsessed with money, but I don't ever remember him acting like a snob about it. Definitely not the stereotypical CEO of our world. And where someone else would give himself a pay raise, Scrooge went on a treasure hunt.

Yeah, there's almost no similarity between "A Christmas Carol" Scrooge and Scrooge McDuck; they're even drawn somewhat differently. They MIGHT have the same accent.

'Christmas Carol' Scrooge is played by Scrooge McDuck.     I hope that makes sense.

It makes perfect sense. The Disney core characters often "play" other roles. Just like Kermit played Captain Smollet in Muppet Treasure Island.

Credit Issued for credit due Mr. Wentworth.  ;)

Done and Done. I had six greeting cards made and will ship them out one at a time every few days. Each envelope has a number of screenshots included along with a hand written note. Each one in a metallic gold on white velum with each piece of velum in a different shade or texture of white.

BTW: A special Thanks to Mr. Wentworth, since I stole his Mickey design.

It would be a good financial investment to acquire the IP! McDuck likes it. He's picturing the new mounds of coins he can dive into.

I wonder if you can approximate any of Darkwing Duck, Gizmoduck, or Scrooge's superhero costume in the CoH editor.

Whaddaya think the "dw" in my name stands for?  ;D
I wouldn't use the word "replace," but there's no word for "take over for you and make everything better almost immediately," so we just say "replace."

If any of you are members of any other fangroup that brought its focus back from the brink (or from death) please, please go to them and beg for them to help.  They just might see a reflection of themselves in us.  Browncoats.  Trekkies.  Galacticans.  Please.
I will go down with this ship.  I won't put my hands up in surrender.  There will be no white flag above my door.  I'm in love, and always will be.  Dido

Indeed.  Get everyone you know as best you can to be involved in this campain.  It is not that hard to write a letter or send an email.  Friends, family members, other gamers... there is huge potential here if we are able to tap into it.

Today's projects.  My daughter made a costume for Minnie and is working on a Lord Recluse backpack for emperor Zurg. Pics later when they are done.

Could a Mod please move this thread to the newly created Task Force Hail Mary section, please?  Thank you!

Lily, that is so cute.  I love it!

Sorry for the delay in posting, but with the impending shut down of City of Heroes you can understand my priorities in not getting to the store...

We have three basic options:

Small Mickey Mouse Plush -- 12'' H from the Disney Store

Disney 8.5 inch Mini Plush - Mickey from Toys R Us

Disney 14 inch Magical Friends Collection Plush - Mickey from Toys R Us

I walked into our local Toys R Us at 1:00 PM on Sunday and they were sold out of the 14 inch Mickey but had four 8.5 inch Mickey, so I walked out with two of them.  They make a nice size to sit on a desk and are easier for shipping.  My vote is for the "Small Mickey Mouse Plush."  They are on sale, the best bang for your buck and the profits go directly to Disney.  Win Win.  My wife said they are likely on sale for the Holiday season, but I suggest getting one now while it's hot.  I'll updating the first post with this recommendation and hopefully in the next day or so the mockup will be done!

He just doesn't have to be most of the time, since he's made his fortune and does more by investing it wisely.
Emphasis mine.

He's the antithesis of NCsoft.
