I thought the obvious quote was...
"Given the choice between slim and none, I'll take slim any day."

Eagerly awaiting updates!
[derail]Do you mean, "So you're saying the odds are against us, and the situation is grim? Sounds like fun!"[/derail]

No.  My quote was from a ST:TNG episode (I don't remember which one, but I do remember that Riker said it).

Technically that wasn't en episode. It was ST:Generations. And Kirk said it. :p

"Given the choice between slim and none, I'll take slim any day."

Episode was Deja Q, if I'm not mistaken.

No, that would be this quote.

"So you're saying the odds are against us, and the situation is grim? Sounds like fun!"

Star Trek Generations.

Resident Trekkie will return to lurking.

The obvious quote is...

"Certain death. Small chance of success... What are we waiting for?"

Sorry. I was going back to this, making it the Kirk quote from Generations, rather than launch into the "There's only one Return" speech from Clerks II. I'm an equal opportunity pop culture referencer. :)
I wouldn't use the word "replace," but there's no word for "take over for you and make everything better almost immediately," so we just say "replace."

Oh, ok - I totally misread which quote was being corrected and which one wasn't.  8)

Actually, I think the most relevant Star Trek quote is from First Contact.

"The line must be drawn Here!  This far, No farther.   I will make them Pay for what they've done."

No, that's not my site or anything, I found the story a couple places... And actually = this looked the LEAST like someone's personal blog.

Do not ascribe to Bizarro-level contrariness what can better be explained by comical ineptitude.
Microsoft corollary to Hanlon's Razor:  Never attribute to stupidity what can be adequately explained by malice.  :P
We were heroes. We were villains. At the end of the world we all fought as one. It's what we did that defines us.
The end occurred pretty much as we predicted: all servers redlining until midnight... and then no servers to go around.

Somewhere beyond time and space, if you look hard you might find a flash of silver trailing crimson: a lone lost Spartan on his way home.
