Ya know, grammatically you and the other folks who have pointed this out are correct. HOWEVER, I kinda like the implications of the "typo". Paindancer, and by extension the heroes of Paragon City ARE having an effect on on change itself.

My point here is we are not JUST fighting to save City of Heroes. We are also (as heroes should) setting an example. We are showing people a better way to handle this sort of fight. Not destructive, tearing down our opponent, but gracefully acknowledging that NCsoft had what they considered valid reasons for what they did, and respectfully but firmly insisting that some better way can be found.

So, even though it was an acknowledged grammatical mistake, perhaps it was a fortuitous one. By chance, this mistake makes something of a point. "Chance, if chance you call it."

As Ms Lackey can attest, writers can and will obsess over every word. An extreme but unrelated example is the rerelease of But What of Earth, by Piers Anthony. The nnotes in the second half are a study in executive meddling, but he does talk about how importbe wheant the choice of words can be.

What's important is the status of the article. If it's only weakness is an incorrect vowel, so be it. The real problem is getting on the main page in the face of new prattling from Zuck, the intro of iPhone 5, and bombings in Lybia. If the copy editor doesn't correct it, the message is still there and will bee understood.

And I'm writing this on a yempermental Android phone while riding a bus. Please ignore my own typos. :)
I wouldn't use the word "replace," but there's no word for "take over for you and make everything better almost immediately," so we just say "replace."

So far, I cant get the producer to fix his typo, let alone mine.  I dont want to just do a edit as it will unvet the article

Hmm.  Yeah, it's probably better to be vetted with the typo than to give that up to fix the typo.

Of course, nobody wants to have this great article un-vetted. And I did not point this out to diminish your article or your efforts. This is truly fantastic publicity.

Thanks again, and good luck with the producer.
