Who do they think they're fooling? I've added my 150 characters to the comments, bringing up Tabula Rasa, but I'd suggest everyone adding their own two cents as well.

You know, given that it is the Korean Times...and they do not much seem to like NCSoft...could this be a case of running the press release and then sitting back and waiting for the inevitable crash?

Err, I should point out the date on that article (unless I'm mistaken it dates back to 06/18).
And yes, for a while it surpassed Diablo 3 back in Korea IIRC.

A mention for us, and something NC Soft should read.

I was very impressed by this Professor's insight from that article:

When a game shuts down, it can be an emotional blow to players. Dr. Henry Lowood, Curator of History of Science and Technology Collections for Stanford University Libraries, says, "When you have memories, a sense of space, you always have a sense of having been somewhere. You end up with associations with that world. Even though you know they're not real, the associations are real. When those are disrupted—especially in a way that would be catastrophic, when it goes dark—it's like a tidal wave or an earthquake wiping out a town. It's not exactly the same, but emotionally and in terms of memories, it's very similar."
