Make the player wear a specific costume

I'm having this idea for a series of missions in which the player isn't playing his/her own character but is actually playing as some one else. As a sort of way to relive the memories of someone else. But in order to do that I need to know if it would be possible to have the player stripped from his/her powers and then wear a specific costume. (A bit like some of the Hellion infiltration missions you get from the new i21 contacts at low level)

Can this be done?
