Recipe Viewer Function

(1/3) > >>

Cannonfodder:
I was wondering if I could ask for another series of enhancements to the Recipe Viewer window function.

Could you change the order of the shopping list?

Currently when outputting the list of recipes, it does it by 'waves' of when they were added to the game and also it doesn't alphabetize after the first letter similar to how the salvage used to be (Armageddon before Apocalypse, for example).  If possible, I'd like to see the PvP and Purple recipes continue to appear separately at the bottom of the list.

Is there a way to add regular enhancements to the shopping list, for example Hamidon origin enhancements?

I add these to my builds occasionally and have to manually edit my copy/paste text to add in the Hami-Os I want.  I'd also like these to appear at the bottom of the list with PvP and Purple recipes if that functionality is added.

Would it be possible to add a toggle to show the reward merit and/or alignment merit cost next to the recipes in the list?

I'm currently adding the merit costs manually to the text file after checking in-game or on the wiki.

I've also asked for a way to have more alternate slotting in the past (ala build 1, build 2, build 3), but can't recall if I mentioned it to the current development team.

I usually have two copies of the same character build saved.  For example, "Cannonfodder - Tank" and "Cannonfodder Shopping".  "Cannonfodder - Tank" would include one flip with common IOs and/or SOs and the other with the IO sets.  "Cannonfodder Shopping" would include one flip with IO sets at the appropriate level I want to purchase them at, minus common IOs slotted and the other flip with alternate slotting for a few powers using the rarer IOs and enhancements.

That's just the primary build.  :(   A second set of two files and 4 flips could be needed for a PvP or Incarnate build.

Here's some data chunks so you can see what I'm doing, in case my explanation lost you.  ;)

Geez, that is some hardcore Mids'ing...

As it stands, this is the only way it can be done and this is the way we prefer it to be done. I know it's kind of a pain and you can easily get a huge list of save files if you do it too much, but changing Mids in order to support multiple builds on a single character in a single save would be, um, incredibly complicated, sorry. :(

As for your other requests, I'll prod DeProgrammer to take a look at it. I personally never use the Recipe Viewer but he loves it to death and has kind of taken ownership of that part of the code: he's responsible for the enhancements to that functionality over the last couple versions.

eabrace:
Sounds like the Recipe Viewer needs and "Export to Excel" button.   :D

Done. I opted to keep the Common, Uncommon, Rare, Very Rare sorting scheme like with salvage, although I'm thinking that's not the best route because it splits up some sets. While I was at it, I fixed the color of Very Rare recipes so they won't show up as Common. I'm thinking I might want to reorder things to match the auction house, because if you sort it by rarity, the most rare goes first and they're in alphabetical order.

I'll see what I can do about adding a section for enhancements of all non-crafted types. Any TO/DO/SO will show the generic name, though. Edit: Done. :P

TY! TY! TY!

By common, rare and very rare, do you mean Common IO recipes (Accuracy, Damage, etc.), the Uncommon and Rare IO sets and the Very Rare being the Purples and PvP?

I agree about splitting up sets.  I don't think its the best route.

My preference is to see them ordered below in order of preference:

* Common IOs, Set IOs, Purple Set IOs, PvP Set IOs [Hami-Os]
* Auction House/Merit Vendor sorting where they are alphabetical by IO Set type [Accurate Defense Debuff, Accurate Healing, Accurate ToHit Debuff], then alpha'd within each set type.
* Straight color rarity according to game:  [Enhancement], Common IO recipes, Uncommon Set IO recipes, Rare Set IO recipes, Very Rare Set IO recipes.
Thank you again for making these changes!
