Popup box flickering on Advanced Totals window

On the Advanced Totals window, all the mouse-over pop-up boxes that give more information about the numbers flicker at an extremely fast rate. Has anyone else encountered this?

  • I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate (x64)
  • nVidia GTX 260 (driver version 258.96)
  • This did not happen with the same video card when my system was running XP Pro (x64)
Where are we going, and why am I in this hand basket?

I have the same behavior on Vista x64, with dual ATIs HD3870s / Catalyst 10.6

I *believe* this is caused by a change in the DirectX functions for x64, as I hadn't noticed this issue until relatively recently (maybe a month or 2 ago).

It'd be good if anybody that's using Vista x32  or Win7 x32 could confirm if it happens on that version, as I don't have it available atm.

As far as an immediate solution, I'm afraid there isn't, -or I haven't found one- but we'll add it to the list of things to review and see if we can find an answer for a next release.

Vista 32 confirming it happens.  Actually, I don't remember it NOT happening in more than a couple of years.  I think it did it when it was still under the control of Mids himself.

Cool. Thanks for both confirmations. Then I'm definitely wrong on the Dx assumption and will make sure to help take a closer look, but can't promise anything yet. :)
