CoH/CoV Technical Reference Guide - now updated for 2019!

Hi, all.

Back in the live days I spent several of my playing years compiling and writing a complete guide, first for binds, then for macros, emotes and more.

With our Cities back, I couldn't help but spend my free time this week updating the Guide. It's now 75 pages of carefully compiled, checked and annotated information, and covers binds, macros, emotes, window configuration, UI customization and more. I know there's a ton of resources out there, old and new, but I don't think any of them come close to this book in scale.

Significant updates over the last week or so - fixed many small errors, corrected updated info, finally included all the costume change emote info and many other things.

v2.55 may be approaching a final update until there are significant game changes.

Updates to v2.56 include complete info on customizing the Attribute Monitor window and a few new cool binds.

Wow, just WOW, this looks like a gargantuan effort and labor of love and you better believe it's now got another home on my PC and tablet. Bookmarked your website as well, and I'll be sure to point some heroes and villains toward it!

/build_save outputs a mids like alt build

I'm guessing this is where mids gets its data from! You'll notice though that it's not as elaborate.

OH, it saves it in: [TequillaGameFolder]\[GlobalName]\Builds  and gives it the name "build.txt". I'm assuming that it should give it a custom name if you were to provide a name after the command. I have some testing to do real quick!

EDIT: "/build_load" fails as I kind of expected. It's probably an internal command to load character data from the database IF it even exists.

Just tested giving a name:

Unless you're talking backend, then I doubt it considering it has nothing to do with character creation. It's more about what your power choice and slotting was at the time.
