When you insult someone by calling them a "pig" or a "dog" you aren't maligning pigs and dogs everywhere.  The same is true of any term used as an insult.

What a tremendously fulfilling life he had, and what an amazing amount of entertainment and inspiration he gave to millions of people all over the world.

Stan Lee passed over the Rainbow Bridge, leaving behind a lifetime legacy of lives touched and imaginations sparked.

I know Marvel is only one facet of our Superhero Universe, but it was a vital one for me, and much of that part owed to Mr. Lee.  I read my first Fantastic Four more then 55 years ago, and the lives of Marvel Heroes have inspired me most of my life.

City of Heroes gave me the opportunity to create my own heroes, but Stan Lee gave me the inspiration to embrace those values both in the game and in life.

I just wanted to mark his passing, and say Excelsior! for a remarkable man.

I was once being interviewed by Barbara Walters...In between two of the segments she asked me..."But what would you do if the doctor gave you only six months to live?" I said, "Type faster." - Isaac Asimov

Rest in peace, Stan the Man. I don't know if you were ready to go, but you had one heck of a run, seeing your creations go this far, and knowing they'll keep going. Really, thanks for Superman. Kidding, I know he's DC.

I'm a Marvel guy. This is really sad news. But I'm also grateful for everything he gave us and everything he left us with. It's hard to fathom just how much awesomesauce Stan Lee poured into the world, and it will endure. I'm pretty sure that not even Galactus could eat all the awesomesauce. I'll go one further and say not even Rularuu.

What I find it amazing is even DC Comics is paying the respects for Stan Lee. This is their quote from the official Twitter page: "He change the way we look at heroes, and modern comics will always bear his indelible mark. His infectious enthusiasm reminded us why we all fell in love with these stories in the first place. Excelsior, Stan."

What I will miss most are the cameos.

I hope there are a few more in the can hopefully at least for the Captain Marvel and Avengers 4.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's still in there. Captain Marvel's principal photography wrapped in July, and Avengers 4 was done in January.

I had a feeling we'd lose him this year, 95 years is a good run though I admit I'm greedy and would have loved to know he was around for more. :(

I'll bet those will get more applause then usual.

I will go down with this ship.  I won't put my hands up in surrender.  There will be no white flag above my door.  I'm in love, and always will be.  Dido

At least 5 more - awesome!

The man will live on. I believe his very first live action cameo was a juror on the "Trial of the Incredible Hulk" - that's already 40 years of cameos!

I get kind of sad now playing the Lego Superheroes 2 - so many Stan Lee rescues and everytime I rescue him I realize he's gone.

Of course they have all the recorded lines from him so no reason he couldn't still pop up in future games.

What about Dark Phoenix that also comes out next year?

I think I read he doesn't have one in that - but I could be wrong.

They could just splice in the one from X3. since it otherwise looks like the same movie maybe no one would notice.
