Acknowledging that everything sucks is different than whining about it.  I do agree that the whole powers-ruined-my-life thing gets tedious, but she doesn't lay that angle on too thick like, say, Ben Grimm.  Or Spider-Man sometimes.

Trish isn't about helping others, but addicts are all about justifying their horrible actions.
When you insult someone by calling them a "pig" or a "dog" you aren't maligning pigs and dogs everywhere.  The same is true of any term used as an insult.
