This is what happens when I reinstall Mids.
« on: May 12, 2017, 05:30:21 PM »
Yup, I reinstalled Mids and made a Scrapper build based off my FF14 character.  (If anyone recognizes the name as similar to the character I brought to yesterday's costume contest, there's a very good reason for that: this character is her son.)

Well I don't wanna rip you a new one but unfortunately this build should be entirely redone. First of all, it's all SOs so I don't know if you knew that there were such things as IO sets that would make characters much more well rounded. Also it is completely pointless to 6 slot one type of enhancement in a power. There is no reason to not pick fast healing.  You literally 6 slotted stamina but only left one slot in quick recovery which is pointless. Quick recovery provides a better recovery rate than stamina so it should never be ignored. I have no idea where this obsession of 6 slotting stamina stemmed from since it is literally pointless.  I'd help you design a new build that's actually decent but I don't know where to start. I hope that wasn't too harsh.

Oh, I completely understand.  I knew when I wrote this build that I was no good at making builds.  I do know about IOs, but for some reason I didn't put them in.  I probably should have.  For the slotting issue, I simply didn't know not to do that.  And as for Fast Healing, this build is based off a FF14 character who definitely does not have Fast Healing.  (That's the same reason I didn't pick any travel powers.)

I would definitely be interested in redoing this build, even if it means ripping everything out and starting again.  Thanks for the criticism!

I wouldn't worry about the whole thematic of fast healing. It's an invisible power so there's no reason not to pick it unless you want to die faster and hinder your performance on the battlefield.  Also acrobatics doesn't provide any benefit to this character since he already has KB and mez protection.  I noticed you didn't pick a travel power but that's fine. Looks like you have ninja run which isn't super slow. I could probably tweak your build around and IO slot you up without changing very much. Let me know and I'll help out when I get some more free time. :)

That would be awesome!  I didn't realize Fast Healing was invisible.  Thanks!
