I remember hating this game when it was just for an achievement and lame gear in SWTOR, and that had the extra benefit of not requiring me to wander around in 90 degree weather :P

They had a similar game for SWTOR? Somehow i missed that, but then i gave the game a miss for about a year after launch because it was, in my opinion, not very good at that time.
So far so good. Onward and upward!

I was being facetious. But yes they had a sort of treasure hunt game where you'd send out a very slow moving droid and it would dig and if it didn't get anything it'd direct you the direction to dig next. Think FF9's chocobo hunting only slower and with dailies for cosmetic garbage and you've got it.

To be fair to Pokemon Go I never got a 3% coupon off a gourmet cupcake, a sunburn or hit by a car while being annoyed with hunts in SWTOR or FF9.

Oh, right, that in-game quest chain. i got bored with it and never finished it on the alt that started it. Maybe one day.
i have enjoyed Pokego so far, but i've not really been playing it all that avidly. i think i'll wait at least until level 10 to choose a faction and just keep amusing myself by capturing monsters and mulching the lower power repeats for their tasty candies. So far i mostly just occasionally swing by the local stops on my way to and from work or the gym. This weekend i might join up with some friends to do some serious(ish) playing in a park that has a bunch of stops and 2 gyms.
So far so good. Onward and upward!

Pokemon Go is not very grindy, it honestly has basically no comparison to what the thing in SWTOR you are talking about.  The times I have used Pokemon Go I was outside anyway on a hike or playing frisbee golf or something.  As for people who get by cars, that's really their own dumb fault.

apparently you have to go outside to play this game. Definitely not a game for me.

On the note of Pokemon, specifically the upcoming Sun and Moon game, apparently, the Skulls have moved to Alola.

So when do we have to face Team Malta with attacks that drain PP and human-brain controlled Metagrosses?
