Animation style for Volume 1 is a little lackluster because it was on a tight budget.  Vol. 2 and 3 (also on YouTube) are major improvements.

The first try would let us make bases, but they would evaporate when we left them.  This latest update gives each Dev toon a private base and then the account shares a common base as well. The bases persist now and each Dev toon can enter the base but only one at a time.  They are working on 'sharing' bases so others can enter.  Haven't heard anything about a timeline yet.

This is looking great. Considering that the ability to have multiple players in the same base doesn't even exist yet i'm going to be the one who asks the thoroughly absurd question of whether the teleporters are functional.

None of the functional items (including teleporters) work.

Well, the personal salvage vault sort of works -- the window pops open when you click on it. That's hardcoded behavior in the client; so we get it for "free". Same thing happens when you click the Vault Reserve vaults.

Currently even the entrance portal doesn't function. The only way out of the base is to /mapmove your way somewhere else.

There's some other unfinished pieces as well. Floor/ceiling trim geometry isn't being generated, so you "see" it on the client but rubber-band badly if you get close enough to touch it.

ETA is whenever I get free time to work on it, which comes and goes.

Presumably because the Personal Storage Vault needs 5 Power and 5 Control, I can only get it to work if I use /baseloaddemo to load the vault from a base that was working correctly before the shutdown. An entirely new vault generated by the base editor doesn't function.

I don't think power and control have anything to do with it. AFAICT the client doesn't do anything with power and control other than display the bars in the editor. What matters is whether the entity spawned for the item is the 'active' version or the 'unpowered' version, and that would normally be handled serverside.

Since Paragon Chat doesn't have any concept of power and control, it always just spawns the 'active' version.

As for why newly placed ones don't work it's hard to say. I'd have to look at the saved base and compare it to one from a demo. It might be something to do with all of the various override hacks to get things to show up in the item chooser despite not having a supergroup or any prestige (which is checked clientside).
