George Reeves' Superman series
« on: February 06, 2015, 10:16:05 PM »
I've been watching "The Adventures of Superman" on MeTV. A question just occurred to me, but searching online didn't find an answer. I'm not expecting an answer here; it's just a curiosity. The question is: how many times were Lois and Jimmy kidnapped during the show's run? It seems like it was about every second or third episode. It's ridiculous. I'd have reached the point of never wanting to see Superman again, if knowing him brings that kind of trouble.

Wasn't that their job? Was like that in the comics too - Supes had to give Jimmy a signal watch he got in trouble so often.

I watched that when it was on nick at night when i was a kid - have you seen the episode where the elephant escapes from the circus and shows up in a kid's backyard and his mom lies to him and says it's his birthday present? i have to think that was ridiculous even by 50s standards (though it probably wouldn't seem out of place on the current dc shows).
