Just want to point out that since this is a binary snapshot it will likely have the same number of servers as it did when taken. Not sure what would have to be done to reduce the number of servers but I suspect that at restart they will be the same as they were.

If it requires some kind of recompile, it likely won't happen since we are not getting the source code. If it requires some kind of special tool, likewise those are lost.

It's going to be hilarious watching all the new characters get created only to log out the second they touch paragon/isle ground. 

What would be even more hilarious is if there was someway to limit character creation to one a day for the first two weeks. I'd cry a little if this happened but totally accept and understand knowing what the name game means to people, including myself.

Yep.  We are the most awesome community ever but I've noticed names are thin ice topics.  And I'm saving mine too. I'm pretty sure a few are popular enough I won't get them on the server I eventually settle on.

http://www.thesaurus.com/ and l33t speak were my best bets, unfortunately.

The CoX forums used to have a thread where people would check for names that were open using the built-in name checker and post them for people to openly use.  Other people would post names they were sitting on and trade them for names other people were holding.
