So earlier this week I got called out by the host of the Save CoH Radio Show Rich Banks to take part in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. Unfortunately I couldn't meet the 24 hour commitment due to stuff going on, so after whisking away my donation (at
ALSA.org), I finally got around to doing the drenching deed this afternoon. Truth be known, dumping a bucket of ice water on yourself on a Georgia summer afternoon is not an entirely unpleasant experience.

The ALS Association has currently (as of August 22) raised over $42 million in the past month alone. Last year, they raised $19.4 million
during the entire year. So as long as this continues to raise awareness and prods people to donate (
ALSA.org), let's keep bringing on those buckets!
