Hey, I found myself! That's neat. Looks like I signed up pretty shortly after I got the game, so that's good.

I used CIT before they even joined the Titan network! But then I left for a long ol' time, and came back. Now I edit the wiki.

Nothing in the wiki timeline or wiki news to note that day as anything special. A couple days after Halloween ended and a full month before Titan Weapons.

That's ringing a bell actually... I can vaguely remember them reconfiguring the forums for some reason - it might have been when they were color coding the names to show premium vs VIP players, or when they were switching up the forum categories, I forget now. Either way , they ran into some kind of glitch that falsely inflated the number of active forum users.

No wait... I think Zwill was testing the forums' options to see if he could create a lower level of forum account, so that Free-To-Players could at least access sections like Player Questions and Technical Help. I think there was mention that he needed to create a bunch of fake accounts to test it out with, or something like that. Not positive on that though.

oh wow this took a while. but I ended up finding my profile. Although it doesn't go all the way back to when I started, I started right at issue 1. i remember the beta for issue 2 fondly.

I was checking that out and I hate to say this....but the way its archived its incomplete....I tried to get to my own user name...and the links would not go to the correct places and would error out.  My Forum Name was as here Psychic Kitty....its not only not listed at the bottom of the display...which is showing only the active users logged in when that copy was made....but also there is no way to do a search for users very easily.

In addition at that time....they had issues with their veteran status and some people where listed as having played a long time...like even before the game existed...ie a bunch of people hacked the system....so I don't know if I would consider that reliable information for user data.

I mean just do the show users thing....notice how there is a bunch of the same name just slightly different....those where people exploiting the system to have ten trillion accounts.

What's archived is the content of the board itself. It's a snap shot of the board. The reason you can't search is because there's no underlying forum software there, no database to connect to. It's just the output of the pages.

Okay, how are you folks looking?  Do you have a date you think you might be there?  I know I'd register, forget, register again, but probably didn't post much until I really wanted to respec my mind/emp toon Risha.  And the very first character I made in 2006, before I knew anything, was called Stormgard (I think), but I used my 1 name switch to Risha later.

If you can give me an idea how to search, I can do it.

Take the original link

Then in the link change the date to a date close to when you think you would have been active 
the year and the month are the first six number 20120904100456

Change to suit then look at the top

now you have an aero to move forward or backward one capture at a time

do this until you find your forum name at the bottom

then select it :)

Not to mention somebody who logged in early on and made a forum account, but then canceled after a few months would look far more "vet" then they should. :)
