Title: Favorite combat power?
Post by: LadyShin on August 13, 2013, 06:27:55 PM
Out of any combat power, from your basic attacks all the way up to the last Incarnate ability..What was your #1 favorite power?

Mine was...

(https://images.weserv.nl/?url=images4.wikia.nocookie.net%2F__cb20051013130939%2Fparagon%2Fimages%2F3%2F33%2FMartialArts_CraneKick.png) Crane Kick.

Why? simply because of the ability to enhance knockback distance.

When you're being annoyed by a flunky who just won't stop bugging you...Fire off a crane kick...and watch him fly across the room into the opposite wall. Sheer gratification.

I liked my dual claws and dual blades, where combo patterns ruled the day, so it's hard to pick one.... buuuuuuuuuut. I'd have to say Assassin's Strike. the ability to crawl up to someone, shiv them, and freeze their buddies in mortal fear always put a smile on my face, be it as a hero or as a villain.

Gotta say Vorpal Judgement for the sheer awesome of splitting into 40 parts and decimating entire rooms in a single shot.

Tough one...

For "Everyone in this room is going to die" factor, i have to say Dark extractionx3 with the build up proc in them while i tank in Dark Dwarf form.

For looking like someone you do NOT want to mess with, Any illusion controller with Perma PA.

For locking enemies down while looking just friggin' cool? Tenebrous Tentacles/Midnight grasp.

For just showing off and looking hardcore? The entire Martial arts set.

but...

If i -HAVE- to pick my ABSOLUTELY BESTIEST BEST POWER OF BESTIEST OF ALL BEST...I have to say it was Trip Mine.

I loved the big T4 Judgment attacks... Kestrel's Ionic and Palrah's Pyro in particular. There was just something fun about lobbing one of those into a big group of goons and watching them all evaporate.  ;D

I also thought DB's Sweeping Strike was pretty stylish, along with Claws' Spin and Soul Mastery's Soul Storm... And, yeah, I loved the look and the sound of pretty much everything my Peacebringers did.

Ninja Blade's assassin strike was a lot of fun to use, bu i'd have to say my absolute favorite attack was Kinetic melee's focused burst

Power burst.  Nice, solid hit with knockback, on corruptors the double damage was very fun.

Edit: I notice you said combat powers, so let me correct myself.  Derp.

Lightning Rod/Shield Charge/Spring Attack/the Martial Combat teleport-attack that Blasters were getting in I24. Basically, teleporting attacks are my favorite.

Rain of Arrows (which I called Rain of Pwnies) is a very very very close second.

Knockout blow.

The sound effect made it sound like it was going to hurt. Not to mention the animation was the right amount of cheese. Not overdone not underdone, just the perfect amount that I have yet to see get done to that level of perfection* in any other game fist melee set.

Then they added the amination choice but always prefered the original one.

*Note-Of course perfection meaning depends on the eye of the beholder and the judger and thus used in with my view and the only set of two eyes I have. What is perfect to one is totally a hot mess to another with neither view being absolute correct or wrong in any way. Both sides can be perfectly correct and wrong at the same time.

Foot stomp, mostly from the good old days of herding hundreds upon hundreds of rikti monkeys and then freezing the screen when you stomped them all.

A close second would be Crowd Control from War Mace.  I loved the animation on that.

ARC OF DESTRUCTION!

Seriously, there's nothing like sweeping an I-beam with a chunk of concrete on the end through a whole crowd of dudes at one time and watching them drop like flies.

Titan Weapons as a whole is a fun set for this reason.  I can remember fights against Lord Recluse and his dizzying bevy of bane spiders, where I continually pounded Lord Recluse and my sweeps left the bane spiders in various stages of falling on their rears.

Closely following it in second place:

SUPPRESSION

I always wished this attack was stronger.  It's just so cool to simply hunker down and blaze away with energy cannons from all four Crab Spider Pack limbs at the same time, filling the air with hissing bolts of energy.

Lightning Rod was my favorite; It looked AWESOME, the damage was amazing, and I had enough recharge on it to use it on every mob (although, to be fair, I was fighting fairly big mobs, so they took some time to dispatch).

Easy, Propel. It was the most fun for me.

Okay, yeah. I was trying to think of one and Propel is definitely it. It was the only reason I even had a Controller.

"So you can dodge bullets, eh? Well let's see you dodge... a forklift! Ha!"     ;D

Nothing was better than Bitter Ice Blast. Properly slotted, it was a thing of beauty. Alternating between Aim and Build-up, one shotting minions and two shotting LTs was great fun. At least, I think I was two shotting lts, I forget. It's been almost a year.
Title: Re: Favorite combat power?

Brawl, Six slotted.

It may have taken forever to take 'em down, but I was putting down mobs of +6 boss, 2 +6 LTs, and 4 +6 minions with Brawl/WP and all the goodies I could cram into Brawling Humiliator.  Even EBs at +3 were no match for his mighty B****slap of win.

/AVs and Pylons.. it was a standoff.  Which was cool. I just couldn't put enough dps on 'em.

Sands of Mu -- quick super-speed punch against an area with a bonus -- sweetest traditional Super-hero attack ever (once the color fix was available to take the "dark energy" idiocy off it)
Title: Re: Favorite combat power?
Post by: Shenku on August 14, 2013, 04:59:46 AM
Claws, Shockwave.

It had good range for a scrapper, decent damage when slotted properly, and not to mention a fairly good cone radius for hitting everything in front of you, plus it recharged pretty swiftly considering how good of a power it was overall. Besides, knocking a dozen enemies on their butts at a time always made me smile. 8)

Only issues with it was when I got the occasional PuG where someone complained about knockback all the time... I'm knocking them on their butt so they can't attack us until they get back up, giving our team greater survivability when the team has no controller or the controller we do have isn't doing their job properly, and they're complaining? Sheesh...

Speaking of which, I swear there were times when my scrapper felt as much like a controller as he did a scrapper, particularly when I would occasionally respec to have Darkness Mastery(Something about Tenebrous Tentacles always drew me back to the set...)... Shockwave to knock 'em down, Tenebrous Tentacles to keep 'em rooted, Petrifying Gaze to hold a particularly nasty mob (Such as a Sapper or Quantum) plus the IO in Focus that had a chance to hold enemies, not to mention it's knockdown and the fact that Focus recharged ridiculously fast for as powerful as it was.... Heck, with Hasten up, there were times I juggled enemies to death and they never got off a single attack on me... Still, I think Shockwave was the key opening attack to any attack chain I put together with all the various powers I had.

Aww man, I have to pick just one? I can't do that!

The shortlist:
Wormhole - See that mob? They're over here now, with this mob. Have fun. (Alternately: See that mob you're fighting? Now they're way over there, sucks to be you huh.)
Propel - Here, have this forklift.
Lightning Rod (Also Shield Charge) - Because now I am over there and everything in that general area is dead.
Rise of the Phoenix - Oh, you killed me? Guess it's explosion o'clock! Also because I killed someone in an arena match with it once which was hilarious.
Fallout (Also Power of the Phoenix) - Oh, you killed someone else now? Guess it's explosion o'clock again!
Speed boost (Also Siphon Speed and Super Speed) - Because zooooooom!
Any Judgement power - Pow, now the entire room is dead. Especially Pyro Judgement before they fixed the graphics bug where you'd toss it and it'd spawn the explosion visual effect on every mob hit. Because throwing a giant fireball and having the whole room explode at once was just cool.
Assault Bot - Actually all the robots and to a lesser extent all the mastermind primaries, but mostly the assault bot because here, have a faceful of missiles.
Assassin's Strike - Mostly the Street Justice version after they made it usable in combat. Because WHAM, and now you're dead.
Confuse - Just the mechanic, in general. I wish more games had it, because hey you go attack your friend.
Ice Slick, and Ice Patch - Because watching mobs flopping helplessly on the ground like fish out of water is hilarious.

So many good powers to pick from but since the moment Water Blast was released, Geyser became one of my favorites, if not tops.

Then again, Seeds of Confusion was just so OP that it's definitely top 3.  Oh wait, combat power...does SoC count?

Lightning Storm is definitely up there.  My own personal bodyguard.  A lightning filled bodyguard.  Zap your a$$ and fry your brain if you get too close kind of bodyguard.  Muahaha.   ;D

Oh, and Crushing Uppercut.  It was good on any archetype that could take it but it was just  :o :o on a Stalker.  Oh myyy!  That was a thing of beauty.  AS followed by a Crit Crushing Uppercut.  Dead.  Like really, really dead.

The best knockout blows I have seen being dealt were curiously when under Rage crash. Nothing like hearing a blow heavy like a truck coming, aaaaand... doing 1-10 damage, even though the mob was still flying !

I prefered [Stone Melee.Seismic Smash] though. Hit like a Knockout Blow, but far faster to dish out. Seemed much faster to dispatch a mob, especially since it looked like Super Strengh's Haymaker from afar.

My prefered power however was [Stone Melee.Fault]. Especially with a couple Kins behind the brute. Nothing like keeping mobs on their soft end by shoving your foot in the earth and cracking the earth to under their feet. It also created huge cookies when used on airborne opponents ^^

I actually went AE farming just to get my Stone/Fire Brute out. Had so much fun smashing all these mobs to pieces with Stone Melee.

But it was just sooooo much fun to watch. :D

Man it's hard to pick one.  For a long time Ice Slick was my favorite, just for the way it turned the battle around.  But I also adored Knockout Blow; although some folks didn't like the long animation, I appreciated the extra time spent anticipating the big hit (plus, it gave me time to say "Here it comes, Khan," out loud).

I came late to Stone Melee, but oh boy Seismic Smash was great (and Fault, paired with Obsidian Shield, was perma-stun, never mind the knockdown.)

I'm also a fan of Rain of Arrows and Blazing Arrow.  And sometimes Sniper Blast, with Boost Range, was hysterical from high altitude.

For one that hasn't been mentioned yet, Ripper from Spines.  I loved the flip and the BOOM knockdown.

For appearances, I loved Storm Kick on a female character -- the epitome of easy grace, yet powerful.  And Dual Blades' Typhoon's Edge was the other most beautiful power.

I have to say I liked Lightning Rod a lot more when paired with Shield Charge and Thunder Strike.  BOOM, BOOM, BOOM is better than just BOOM.  :)

Perhaps my all-time favorite was Lightning Storm at the top of a stairway.  It would repeatedly throw enemies back down the stairs onto their backsides every time they tried to climb up toward me, and it wasn't too hard to keep two of them up continuously.

It's a cross between Burn and Carrion Creepers.

I have had :-\ several Fire Armor characters who loved Burn. It was the bread and butter patch of you're about to die now. Glorious and effortless.

Carrion Creepers, on the other hand, were chaos incarnate. Throw those down on a huge mob of enemies and hell just breaks out. Enemies fall, damage numbers tick like crazy, and the patch just grows and grows...until they're all dead, and it follows you to the next mob to begin anew.

Ice Slick was my favorite power, and probably the reason why I mained a controller. The ice slick + freezing rain combo was just so, so sick. I loved the sound of an enemy hitting the ice, and completely incapacitating an entire mob of enemies was incredibly satisfying. After ice slick, I never understood why ice control was so underrated and so underplayed.

Oh man, I loved confusing Embalmed Vahzilosk and sicking them on their friends

Confusion and all of it's variations FTW!

How to deal with those pesky Malta sappers? -- Confuse them and watch the fun.
Need some cheap laughs? -- Confuse a Tsoo Sorceror and watch them fly.
Need to sneak past someone but don't have stealth? -- Confuse them and they'll wave hi as you stroll past.
Need a boss softened up a bit? -- Confuse their minions and let them do the dirty work for you.
Oh, I became way too addicted to that power. I'm so bad that, to this day, I look for something like it in EVERY game I play now. Sadly, it doesn't show up that often.

I had a Fire/Fire/Pyre Tanker whose schtick involved flying as much as possible, and only touching down to set off a Burn patch.  The idea was she was so hot she set the ground on fire by contact.

I'm also a fan of Rain of Arrows and Blazing Arrow.  And sometimes Sniper Blast, with Boost Range, was hysterical from high altitude.

I found that Rain of Arrows required a lot of care on teams to make it work well, because of the long animation; if you weren't careful, the fight would shift out of the AoE between the time you started it and the time it hit, or even finish before it went off. Some fights, like the ambushes in the second mission of the ITF, could be set up easier than others, because you had a target-rich environment that was harder to take down.

But I have to admit that I loved Snipe and LRM on my AR/Nrg/Mun Blaster; I had LRM tricked out with three Dmg/Rng HOs, two Accs, and a Rech, so with Boost Range up I could drop Aoe hell into a cluster of targets I could barely see. And Full Auto and Flamethrower were awesome with Boost Range, too; I could reasonably expect to be able to stealth up near a spawn of even-level Nemesis minions and Lts, hit Boost Range, Build Up, and uncork FA, then Flamethrower, get everyone in the spawn, and move on to my next targets (after resting; standing there spraying bullets would make me a prime target, and I'd eat about half my HP before the spawn went down).

I think you meant Oppressive Gloom here. If your build could stomach the end drain of the Dark heal, it must have been fun, yesssss...

Still prefered the "Everybody *slams foot* DOWN!" of the knockdown ^^ grinned all the time. Footstomp didn't do that 100%, even though it did damage.

Funny thing was that Oppressive Gloom's damage was reduced by fighting higher-con mobs, instead of increased, because it was you power, not the ennemy's, that was doing the damage.

I'll just pick one from the "short list" of powers that never failed to delight me.

Lightning Rod didn't crit as it was a pet spawn power. The cool thing was that it didn't un-hide you so you could immediately follow up with Thunder Strike from hide for more AoE mayhem.

I was pretty hooked on the water blast set near the end.  My water blaster was probably the character I got to 50 the fastest just out of the sheer fun I had playing him.  Geyser was probably my favorite power though I also loved whirlpool, water burst and water jet.

Well, being a Fire/SS Tank, mine was Burn, followed up by Foot Stomp.  Those were good times before they nerfed Burn with the fear effect so mobs would run out of the flames.  I was sooo happy when the Devs removed that fear effect several Issues later.  They did reduce the damage from Burn, but I could live with it.

Title: Re: Favorite combat power?

Well, this wasn't one power, but I was very happy when my Fire/Fire/Pyre Tanker got enough recharge to chain Fire Sword Circle, Combustion, Burn, and Fireball essentially continuously (and Burn would recharge in time to be up continuously).  Talk about AoE mayhem!

Hmmmm...  No way I could pick a single power... Too, too many awesome ones to pick from...

Certainly, a few of my favorites would be (in no particular order)

* T4 Judgement -- Now *that* was what a Blaster's "nuke" should have been from the get-go...   :P

* Propel - slow, and unwieldy, but funnier than hell seeing the various items that would show up.

* Ninja Blade's Assassin Strike - Nothing like a katana (out of the blue) thru the gizzard ftw.  :)

* Tesla Cage - Beautiful to behold, cheap and quick to cast, and would pretty much lock a baddie down
for an entire fight - with a hold proc in it, it could even leave a boss twitching uncontrollably. What's not to love?  :)

Cheers,
4

My favorite power was certainly fireball.  No doubt.  and the incarnate version of it, pyronic judgement (which I always called pyronic justice).  The animation was so great, and the best use of the fireball power is to "introduce" my character to an entire mob.  just fire it off, and imagine your toon is shouting "hello, my name is Charcoal Blaster, and you're all on fire."

Chain Induction from the Scrapper primary Electrical Melee.

The DPS was insane for the small cast time and the mechanics behind it were interesting. Something I found very odd was how Chain Induction would limit the enemies' interruptible casts. I never understood why opponents couldn't use things like [Aid Self], -recovery wasn't supposed to interrupt it. Something else did.

It also reminded me a lot of the original Energy Transfer, as it used the same model animation.

Edit: Case closed, thanks Reiraku

Funny thing about the -recovery from electric melee is that it would do a lot of things it wasn't supposed to, such as interruption of powers. It also would re-aggro enemies immediately after a placate if the effect was still active for stalkers.

So many choices that i'll list my favorites from a few sets...
Dart Burst because i liked the look and concept of riddling enemies with dozens of needles followed by Poison Dart as a close second since it functioned as a finisher for my Widow throughout her career. There was just something about firing off a single dart as an enemy with a sliver of health tried to make a run for it and watching them drop a couple seconds later.

Poison Trap on my Defender for several reasons. The way it incapacitated enemies and then when it was procced out at 50 seeing a group of minions charging in set it off and watching several of them collapse instantly. And when the occasional AV or GM would be left retching helplessly.

Bright Nova Scatter on my PB with 2 dmg/range HOs. i could aggro most spawns in a large room with one shot. Bright Nova Detonation was a close second. The last few months it was easy to make a PB extremely durable without much investment so trying to steal everyone's aggro was a viable tactic.

Foot Stomp with the punching animation. i just loved the way it looked. The damage wasn't bad either.

Carrion Creepers because of the disturbing sort of whispering noise they'd make when following from one spawn to the next before erupting from the ground.

The last one i'll list is Whirling smash from Titan Weapons. i loved the look and the damage. For some characters the pacing of Titan Weapons seemed perfect. Bursts of rapid fire destruction tearing through whole squads of enemies with brief pauses to assess surviving targets before launching into another burst. In a strange way it reminded of the Sherlock Holmes movie where he'd pause a second to plan out his sequence of attacks before taking out a whole group with a single chain of moves.

A couple come to mind.

Thunderous Blast... back in the day when you could do wolf herding missions, the excitement of waiting for that Tanker to bring them all to me.

Fire Imps... waiting and soloing and dying and dying until... level 32 baby.  Having "perma-hasten" and spawning 12 imps was like you had your own army.  It took forever to reach 32.  With the Imps, level 50 came in a flash.

Everyday, my wife and I miss this game.

Fire Ball :D

A squishy blaster that can keep popping CaB's and keep slinging fire ball's.

Something like this build: almost 50% Defense in Smashing/Lethal/Ranged.

I was an Healer most of my time....

But when I played with my Blaster, I liked PowerBlast PowerPush
(https://i1094.photobucket.com/albums/i451/BlueDalek/PowerPush_zpse465d383.gif) (http://s1094.photobucket.com/user/BlueDalek/media/PowerPush_zpse465d383.gif.html)

It saved me,as well as helping protect fellow players on a team a few times thru buying time to escape villains that were more powerful, or in great numbers...Especially in tunnels or Carnival villains with their mind holds.

I just realised I missed one when I originally posted here. Trip Mine. I cannot adequately express in words how much many of my friends and I loved that power, so have a screenshot instead:

Yes, that's Nemesis in the final RWZ mission, in the cutscene that plays when he spawns. You may however notice he's not actually in the place he usually spawns at. What happened was we had two traps corruptors and a devices blaster (If I remember rightly) on the team, and before we attacked Hro'Dtohz all three of them set out 10-15 tripmines each on the spot Nemesis would spawn. So when he spawned, he got hit by 30+ explosions at once and the combined knockback procs on each one added up to enough knockback to toss him across the room, even through AV protection. Not to mention knocking off a good half his health.

The best part though, was the game sat there for a good 30 seconds or more doing nothing while we made jokes about having planted so many trip mines that we exploded the server and they were running about trying to repair it. After that it did actually recover and play the cutscene out though, which was kind of awesome on its own.

Yezz, thinking outside the box...Nice post about your Nemesis battle !

CoH was cool that one could come up with such tactics and change outcomes, assuming they were good ones....especially dealing with Hamidon.

Poison Trap from the Traps set. Hardcore regen debuff and it could temporarily hold AVs, Monsters and Giant Monsters automatically turning off toggles even on the hardest targets

Hmmm, a single favorite combat power?  I don't know if I can pick just one - there were so many cool game effects and so many eye-catching animations (e.g. fireball is really pretty, and so is Energy Burst, etc).   Not sure this qualifies but my fave "combat power" would have to be 1. blaster's Defiance (mezz me all you like! I can still do stuff!) as well as 2. using Howling Twilight not merely rez but often to debuff an AV/EB and minions, and thus save lives in advance (bwahaha!) - always followed up with Hasten, of course, just in case Rez is needed.

I guess I'm gonna have to go with Eclipse.  Not only could you cap your resistance to everything with just five enemies, you could also fully replenish your endurance with it.

I would have to say Power Burst.  Especially when you could change the graphic so you just one palmed a face full of energy into a baddy.  It was basically a quick short range snipe.  I use to love waking up to minions and just power bursting them from full life to 0. Close second would be trip mine or Nova.  Nova was a pain with the knockback.  But if it was slotted right you were knocking back corpses.  Trip mine was great too.  Cloaking device + Smoke Grenade + SS.  You could smoke a group of baddies and drop a trip mine right in the middle of them.  Follow it up with explosive blast.  Next group

Blaze was my favorite, on my main Fire / Eng Blaster. It was a one-shot doomsday device! I especially loved it in PvP with old Defiance - get my health down low, hit some boosts, BAM! Dead villain!

Total Focus was also fun, just for the animation. Kiting NPCs with it was also pretty neat.

Air Superiority was another favorite - everything about it was great. Animation, sound, the enemies falling out of the sky...

CoH was cool that one could come up with such tactics and change outcomes, assuming they were good ones....especially dealing with Hamidon.

My level 50 gravity control/force field controller, Gravi-Metrik (http://todogut.deviantart.com/art/Gravi-Metrik-reference-sheet-353619939), joined a Lady Grey task force (http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Lady_grey_tf), and I learned a neat application for Gravi's Wormhole (http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Wormhole#Wormhole) power.

When the TF leader noticed Gravi casting gravity holds during the first battle, he exclaimed, "Gravity? Oh *&#$!" At first, I thought he was expressing dislike for having a gravity controller on the team; but, later I found out, no, that's not what he meant. As I soon gathered, he was excited about having a gravity controller.

He typed a private tell to me asking, "Have you ever wormholed Hami?" I replied, "No, can't say I have."

He went on to explain, during one of the last missions of the task force, when we faced the weakened Hamidon (http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Weakened_Hamidon), he wanted me to pop two yellow inspirations and use my Wormhole power to teleport Hamidon from the center of the mitos to an exterior location.

So, that's what I did. It worked. With Hamidon removed from the center of the mitos, it was easier for the team to defeat the mitos.

Then, the TF leader asked Gravi to wormhole Hami to the ground. So, Gravi once again used his Wormhole power to teleport Hami, this time from a hovering position to the ground, allowing melee fighters to attack normally instead of using jetpacks.

Gravi had a crafted level 50 invention origin Accuracy enhancement in Wormhole. Evidently, that was good enough, because the second time, he didn't have any yellow inspirations.

All the better with group flight. ;D Fly my pretties!

Anyways, mine was Shadow Maul ( and Sands of Mu). Sure, nothing was worse than hearing wif-wif-wif-wif, but when it would connect it made my inner super yell for joy. Nothing beats a good ol' Bif and Bam sound effect in a hero game.

Cheap tho it might've been, there was an immense satisfaction in successfully firing off a placate/assassin's strike on an enemy to see the big hit come in.

I did also enjoy the Lightning Rod/Shield Charge attacks. My mace/shield tank in particular, with such a long cooldown on shield charge made it very satisfying to use. I'd usually open with it, but then it would come down to using other attacks until it became ready again. Waiting for the cooldown, waiting, waiting then BAM. Watching the mobs get knocked up en masse, gotta love it.

Nova.  Pre-target cap I once hit about 120 targets with one shot.  Using it in Infernal's portal room was one of the sure-fire ways of breaking the client's FX limit.

I was really looking forward to I24's rapid-fire blaster nukes.

Although I have to say I had a lot more fun than I really should have playing around with Arbiter Hawk's broken I24 Power Thrust on beta.  He decided to put a little repel into PT.  He put a little more than he should have.  You'd hit a target and he'd repel off practically over the horizon, even striking walls and continuing to repel alongside them until they got free.

It's so hard to choose one since I have tons of favorite combat powers but I'll keep my list short:

- Blizzard/Ice Storm (I'm an AoE addict)
- Hibernate (it's my panic button and have saved me lots of times)
- Assassin's Strike (people say it's clunky but I love the damage)
- Bullet Rain/Executioner's Shot/Piercing Rounds (who doesn't like Dual Pistols?)
- Explosive Arrow and Crushing Field (another AoE powers)
- Vorpal Judgement (I've never seen any power as cool as this in any other game)
- Time Manipulation buffs/debuffs (I couldn't choose because I find there are no useless power in this set)

Well, there's more and I was planning to add Wind Control and Martial Combat but since it was never released, I'll stick with these for now...

Since we're on the topic of Stalkers, HIDE was one of the greatest powers in the game. As a Stalker you could kick on stealth at lv 1 and be invisible to almost everything (curse you Rikti drones.) You could stand right next to a GM or an angry AV and nothing would happen. Now that, is power.

That reminds me of when they were first doing Stalker revamps on test, and Assassin Strike was going to do a percentage of damage based on the enemy's HP. As soon as test came up, me and a few other stalker enthusiasts got on to check it out and wondered how much damage it would do against Hamidon. BAB spawned one in The Abyss and pulled aggro for me while I whacked it for over 30k damage in a single hit.

I really miss my stalkers.

Well.. not saying I didn't like it...I found it to be a necessary addition to the other assassin abilities. I would divide up my attacks based on cooldown times (had 2-3 groups of attacks I'd use) and would space them out with AS.

If I had to pick one and only one, I'd go with Fearsome Stare. So subtle, yet so ridiculously powerful. It also led into the below.

Fearsome Stare + Tar Patch + Ion Core Final Judgment = My petite little dark/dark defender walks into a room full of bad guys, gives them the evil eye, Very Bad Things happen, and five seconds later she walks out of an empty room.

Also great fun:

Soul Storm + Petrifying Gaze - To render the boss who may have survived the above almost instantly helpless.
Executioner's Shot - The animation just perfectly fit the idea behind my mercenary Traps/DP Defender.
Confuse - Great in regular play, but find the right type of enemy and it just got ridiculous. Embalmed Vahz? Sorcerers? Force Field Generators? Bring em on!
Howling Twilight - I never got it to brew tea for me, but otherwise it pretty much did everything.
Pyronic Core Final Judgment - Do you really need a reason?

Too Many to name..

However my most favorite thing I discovered was when I made my Shield/SS Tank and changed to the double fisted animation for KO Blow, it looked like you were smashing the opponent with the shield.. which was very very cool.

My all-time favorite was the spinning roundhouse AOE punch in Street Justice - can't remember the real name right now - and that meaty SMACK! when it landed.  Many fun times taking a 23 Street Justice Brute into the old DA and taunting ten-member mobs into converging on me  . . and wiping Dat Ass Right Out!

The original OP Shield Charge when you could wipe out a tightly-spaced mob with one rush - and send the bodies tumbling!

And the whole martial arts set  . . .and . . .

It was simply called.. Spinning Strike... I had a Street Justice/SR Brute with it..

It'd probably have to be Lightning Rod for me. Build up + lightning rod = everything in a 20 ft radius dead

It'd have to be a tie between Crushing Uppercut or Spinning Strike from the Street Justice powerset. They were just such brutal looking hand-to-hand combat moves, and I loved using them when I could.
