Title: Portal2
Post by: SKEWLINES on December 21, 2012, 01:06:39 PM
Has anyone created any test chambers in Portal2 that they are proud of and would like me to play through? This is the only game I am really playing now, and some of the community test chambers are quite good.

I've only got a couple, and they're quite simple. But if you look me up (Zekiran) on steam, my workshop should have them.

I did a search for you and came up empty, but found a few maps made by someone named "Positron" that I am going to try out.

I'm tempted to make "avoid the green" jokes...

Wrong Raymond Keyes, but clearly he's here under false pretenses!

Hm. Well I have two maps:

Orderly Progression

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=68481959
A Bit of Blockage <-- my first published map

Maybe because they're kind of old, or maybe steam is just stupid sometimes, I can't often locate things using its search either.

I completed both of these and left thumbs up and favorable comments. I don't think I did Orderly Progression the way you intended, however. I never needed the lift table for anything. Once I disabled all the curtains, I just placed one portal in each corner, and made it to the jump and out the door  before the timer expired. What was the lift table for? A shortcut to get over the wall?

Yup, that's how it was designed, but obviously - THIS IS PORTAL :) You're supposed to pull stuff like that! Because I didn't think of it/didn't think it could be achieved. :) Thanks for playing them!
