I'm working on a letter to Stephen in his on-air persona, hitting the points of "evil foreign company killing thousands of superheroes", wanting to be good consumers and have our game owned/operated by an iconic company (Disney), and our fall-back option (Plan Z) is communistic (open source, community funded). (I really need a better word for that...suggestions?)
One thing I want to include is a picture of a hero at Wentworth's, hopefully with the buy/sell window open. I mention in the letter that the game promotes consumerism and entrepreneurial efforts (the ebil marketers). I thought a pic of that would be nice to include, and that's something I don't have a demorecord of. Can anyone provide one?
I also want t include pics of heroes fighting iconic "anti-American" enemies - 5th column and/or council, freakshow (anarchists), the mob (Family). I have pics of the first two, but I don't know if I have any demorecords w/ the Family.
I'll post the letter tonight for feedback.

Knowing Colbert, I am tempted to volunteer a pic of my Shield tanker's Cap - um - "homage" costume, but that might not go over well with the guys at Disney getting the letters for the Hail Mary pass. :roll:

I misused an apostrophe, but I had the word 'blaster' right after it and we were talking about pictures for Colbert. I thought you were just making a joke, I didn't realize it was confusing to anyone.

I don't know if the Retro set is accessible, but now that Codewalker got us access to the costume creator someone could take a shot at making Tek Jenson and saving him off to use in a demorecord...

OK Guys, we in 24 hours over on the Save Paragon forum we got us a working website! A couple more tweaks and we'll be ready to tweet the Sweet Baby Bejeezys out of it!
My goolies, I am so damned proud of all of you!
Right now Vasarto, I have to thank you in particular for giving us the absolutely neccessary nail we needed to hang the whole Colbert Campaign on. I think if you can dig up screenies of the Colbert Nation Supergroup we must put them on the Multimedia page.

DO NOT think I have forgotten that you came up with this idea. Good on ya.
My only concern with it was that what we had was too weak to rise above all the other "Stephen Colbert, come help my school!" "Stephen Colbert, can you ride in my Christmas parade!" posts he was going to get.
We needed a hook that would be directly related to Colbert. Once we got that, we were golden!

Chances are you don't have it in the right place. You can only run it from inside your City of Heroes folder. So you need to put it there, and run it from there.

Wow. Just wow.
Anyway. Someone mentioned Colbert's "Tek Jansen" character a little bit back, so I took the liberty of recreating him in Icon. It might be improved - reference material for his costume is a little... varying, so someone with a better sense of fashion than me would probably do a better job of it. I doubt having a replica of him would hurt - heck, if someone has good-looking demo of a Dual Pistols blaster in action, maybe they can even insert him and record it?
Just throwing out ideas.

Awesome Images all around!
The show has closed down until next year but please keep up the ideas and stay active! Something like this is all about the buzz we can generate. Hit the vote for the MMOSite contest, pester your favorite blogger (but please don't stalk) and write more letters to Disney.
Keep dreaming up stuff here and posting it for us less talented individuals to OOhh and Ahhh over. Maybe something you post will strike a chord with someone who is trying to find an image for their blog to highlight the Save CoH movement.
