I wanted to help, how ever I am broke as a joke, so I did what I could, i have signed petitions, I have yelled at NC soft over twitter, encouraged others to never buy another NCsoft title again, and this

I made a Banner for Face book, any one is free to use it in fact I encourage you to. I am not sure what good it will do, but its the only thing I could think to do right now.

it is taller then the face book banner cause you can adjust the banned up and down but not left and right and some times if the image is too small up and down or just thr right size it stretches the image cutting off the sides, so I assure you that was done intentionally

I think you might have misunderstood me. I have nothing to say about banners on facebook (I am not even on it).
I just wanted to be respectful and make sure that you were ok if I resized your image for change.org, if Meggan will add it as an image to the petition. The size of images on change.org is different than your banner (556x304 vs 850x340).

actually if you look at mine it is the freedom logo I just removed thing off it in photoshop :P

I think I am going to re-make my banner a bit to incorporate the Twitter hashtag we are using: #SaveCOH. Mayhap fix a few minor errors I noticed as well, that way there is a nice visual that can float through Twitter as well.

I altered my original banner to include the #SaveCOH hashtag. It has been linked by eabrace via Twitter, and should now automagically point to the newest iteration. I plan to make up 2 more Banners that make use of the Heroic slogan (We are heroes. This is what we do.) as well as a Villainous version I thought up: We are villains. What's our is ours. I thought it fit for being villainous, while still seeming to stay within the basic formula.

If I can be perfectly blunt, I think the newest banner is a mite too busy, but that's just me. (I do love that Maelstrom is on it, though.)

To make use of some of the lovely Hero slogan we have flying around... I decided to make some "supportive" banners that one could use as a sig with a link to http://tinyurl.com/SaveParagon perhaps. Just something to add to our rallying cries. Also, the villains feel left out (now GuyPerfect can sport one?).
All comments as to design and sloganeering is welcome! I will be cross posting this on the Official Forums.

If I may make a suggestion...Make the text white and do not try and match the color of the logos. It makes it difficult to read. You want the information clear and the logos are easily identifiable already.

Not sure if this would be distracting, but do you think animated GIFs would also be helpful?
We all know our human eyes are attracted to movement...
Maybe a dark background... with the following panels:
1. For eight-and-a-half years
2. We've been fighting
3. To Save
4. Paragon City
5. They now need us
6. One. More. Time.
7. #SaveCOH
(Or fewer panels, of course).
Just an idea... animation may get the person to move their eye there...and the panels and the suspense may get them to read it. :)

I believe it was part of the CoV Fansite Kit (http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/City_of_Villains_Fansite_Kit). There are a couple of links you can try on that page. I'm pretty sure it was still there for download when I checked a couple of months ago.

Uhm, not to sound too picky, but I believe that should read "Our Isles need a hero." Why not go with something more possessive, though, and less altruistic? "What's ours is ours!" is a good rallying cry for redside. Something in that theme might fit here.

Another nitpick: "Our Isles needs..." is grammatically incorrect, it should read: "Our Isles need..." without the 's.'

Exact size isn't really an issue (My last logo was 1024x1024 and worked just fine in the ID3), so if there is a standard square size used for something else I'm sure it'll work for this as well.

8) Keep up the great work, everyone! These banners are awesome and I pray that the City of Heroes and Villains will be saved. There is truly unlimited entreprenurial potential here that is still untapped. CoH is still the best game around and we will not quietly into the night! I'm sure NCsoft needs to look around and see the sincere players who had thrown hard earned money into their enterprises. They must pick us back up or at least sell us to a worthy corporation such as Cryptic Studios. In fact, merger zones between the City of Heroes and Champions Online would be a superb way for both universes to get to meet each other as friends, allies, and a much larger family. ;D Of course, that's my fantasy speaking. ;) Lets spread these banners around! T-shirts, bumperstickers, magnets, beltbuckles, no holds barred! Too much is not enough! We are not a flash-in-the-pan overnight business. We've endured 8 fun years of adventures and trials which has forged a vast community of close-knit families. Call us Heroes. Call us Villains. Call us Rogues. But never, NEVER call us quitters! >:( We always had been, we still are, and we forever shall be the greatest MMORPG that has ever existed! Save the City of Heroes NOW!!! ;D We thank everyone involved in this very worthwhile campaign. Again, thank you.

Although the town is fictional, the community is very real, and is about to be dissolved by NCSoft. Please, help us convince NCSoft to change their mind or release or sell City of Heroes, so we can keep telling some of the greatest superhero stories around!

I did add the Twibbon to my super secret Twitter account, though. Some beautiful artworks here. So very sorry that I can't display one :-/

Or maybe just a whole 'Redside' mirror for it? We have to win this fight the 'Blue Side' way to really be effective, but it's not just Heroes who are losing their homes, it's the Villains too. They should have representation. :)

Villains tend to have a less dynamic pose, so I'll use something a bit different for villains maybe. So if I made the cape red, it would actually look more like Superman. :)
How about this for the tagline: We are villains. We will fight!
Or let me know some others. I don't think we have one for villains just yet.

Thats been the one thing that has been bugging me so far...
My lead Villian would totally join the fight by pointing out "Cant conqure the world if they take it away from us" but somehow... well, we are villians but at the same time we are trying to inspire EVERYONE arnt we? and I cant help but fear the tradional villian mindset would off put the average joe on the street who is only just now hearing about this.
I suppose that really would cover why there have been so many Heroic banners vs villanous ones.

okay not sure how much you understand graphic design so i am gonna just simply point out two things:
first is a purely graphic thing: Changing the color color of the cap from blue to red is a fairly simple change, to make a villains one and make it look villainous you'd have to do more then make it all red
Second: based on our goal of saving the city we want to come off as the good guys and there for the image of the hero is more appropriate, so while the Villain take is cute and cheeky imho its just not as fitting

this is exactly it, also on most server more people play hero, this probably has something to do with that more content was created for heroes then Villains

Sure, but the problem is HOW. Saying we need some is all fine and well... but I'm not seeing anyone actually come up with anything.

I'm pretty sure it's already been suggested. Changing it to a red-based theme with the villain motto ("We are villains. What's ours is ours!") is pretty simple. There are villains that wear tights and capes. Works for me.

yes it has and I would argue to make it villainish you'd want to do more then a red tint and logo change like tattered capes or something

I did a few banners yesterday for my own use. I just used cropped screenshots and inserted some text with the basic editor in IRFanview. They're simple but I think they're effective.
